I couldn’t have picked a better company for a more exhilarating first time experience! I decided on The Jumping Place for many reasons, one being their exceptional reviews and high regards from past and current customers – it was a 2.5 hour drive for me (from Summerville, SC). The trip there was easily navigated and beautiful, I found the building quickly, and parking was more than ample and conveniently located a few feet from the building. The appearance was welcoming, immediately feeding in to the atmosphere. Once out of my car I was greeted by two smiling employees who were pleasant and friendly, both had positive vibes and made me feel very comfortable. I had not yet completed my online waiver, but I was able to complete that in under two minutes via their QR code online. Afterwards, Joyce introduced me to the crew that would be with me in my experience, Adam, my cameraman (also an instructor), Casey, my skydiving instructor, my pilot Marcel, and their training camera man, Jack who is super sweet! I was then shown to their air conditioned waiting room to watch an informational video about all of the risks and rules, p’s and q’s. Once back out at the desk, Joyce thoroughly went through video options with me, and helped me make the best choice for me. Adam walked me outside and recorded an interview with me for my Ultimate Video. Casey then started fitting me in to a harness and giving instruction on what was about to happen step by step, what he was going to do, and what I needed to do, what to expect, how to exit the plane with him and how to conduct myself once we were out of the plane and in the air. The plane ride was really comfortable, we had great conversation on the way up, Marcel, Adam, Jack and Casey did a spectacular job at keeping me calm and excited for my experience (Jack didn’t even mind when I grabbed his arm for my mental health support LOL, sorry Jack). I definitely felt some internal panic when the plane door opened, but within seconds I was in the air and I was overcome with how astonishing everything was. I closed my eyes at first, but remembered I was there for the experience, and quickly opened my eyes! It was an out of body, other worldly experience. I felt like I was coming down from the moon! Casey talked to me the whole time making sure I was paying attention to all of the parts that I would want to remember, answering any and all of my questions. Landing was easy and soft, we were greeted by Adam who helped with the parachute and my harness. I loved the experience so much I did it two more times that day, the last being during the sunset. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I got my video the same day, which was awesome because I wasn’t expecting it for a couple days. I could not have had this amazing day without The Jumping Place and their exceptional employees.. I will be back for jumps and my solo courses… Safe to say this my new favorite sport. – via
