Hershel is such a great surf instructor who always motivates you, shows you what you did well or not well and teaches you a lot about patience and gliding with the wave. Look no further. The best begginer Coach I have met in central/s. America while traveling for 2months.

Gifted with high attention to detail and ability to replay in his mind in 4k seeing all micro/macro movements. Great supporting energy and so much fun. After first begginer session told me : I can see you’re mentally and physically ready for next step. ????????? Went on to have my best surfing session on the reef with the best board for me at that time.
It’s this kind of people you wanna surround yourself with ????

My husband and I booked our first surf lesson with Hershel. There was another couple there with us. However, Hershel brought a colleague with him so that each of us could be treated individually.
It was our first surf lesson and I couldn’t have imagined a better instructor than Hershel and his colleague. After a short briefing, we went straight into the water. My husband even managed to catch his first wave straight away!
Unfortunately, I didn’t do so well. But thanks to the motivation and great help from Hershel and his colleague, I was gradually able to catch waves too. They took a lot of time and patience with me and I was very grateful for that. This made me feel like O wasn’t a loser because the others were able to stand their waves faster and better. My husband and I would do it again. Thank you both for everything. – via google

Dankzij de goede en duidelijke uitleg, het geduld en het enthousiasme was dit voor ons een super leuke ervaring. We stonden snel op het surfboard, dankzij verschillende tips. If you’re considering taking a surf lesson in Puerto Viejo, book with this school!
We had a private surf lesson (3 people) with these guys and it was awesome! They are great teachers and super encouraging. It was my first lesson ever and at the end of it I surfed ☺️
We had so much fun and can’t wait to do it again!

The price is great for the service; good boards, rash guards, transportation and 2 hours of surfing.
Also, the the surf spot itself is amazing, great waves and great views!
