HIGHLY RECOMMEND ?????????? We had a fantastic experience skydiving here!
I had purchased a skydiving package for my husband for his birthday this year and when we went up in April, some low clouds rolled in by the time we got there and he wasn’t able to jump. While we were there and before it ended up getting canceled, my husband went through the training with an instructor who went by Boogie, and he was very professional and eased any concern I had about my husband skydiving. In fact, he even sparked my interest a little bit even though I had zero intention of ever jumping myself (I am deathly afraid of flying). We weren’t too disappointed that it got canceled, because at least we now knew what to expect for the next time.
My husband ended up rescheduled probably at least two dozen times, but every time we both had a day off on the same day, it wasn’t good weather to jump. It’s a good thing, because it took me that long (Sept 20 was the day we finally jumped, it’s just taken me some time to remember to write this review) to decide that I wanted to jump too. Even though I am deathly afraid of flying ?? This was 100% a fake-it-till-you-make-it act of bravery, and I really didn’t think I could do it. So I did my best to not think about it and just go through the motions. The airplane ride was the scariest thing I’ve ever done in my entire life, and from the second we left the ground I couldn’t wait to get out of that thing. I faked it pretty good, but I was absolutely not okay during the flight. Once the door opened, everything happened so fast that I didn’t even have time to think about backing out. It truly was an incredible experience that there aren’t words for. And now we both can’t wait to go again and convince all of our friends to go with us!
I can’t end this review without saying some words about our instructor Waylon. He was absolutely fantastic. Truly the best of the best, and it was he who made our experience as awesome as it was. He was calm, cool, and collected, but simultaneously full of energy and excitement. I think he could tell how nervous and terrified I was to be in that airplane, and he was so kind and explained everything as we went. He seemed so experienced and confident in his abilities that I never had a single concern about the skydive whatsoever. I felt completely safe and confident jumping with him.
We live in Pennsylvania and it was over a two hour drive for us to get to WNY Skydiving, but we chose to jump here because of the good reviews. I can absolutely confirm that this place is worth the drive for the fantastic experience you will have here! Highly recommend, and we can’t wait to come back! – via
