We stayed 2 nights at Waterfall Rafting Center in mid-September at the end of season. We had a great and adventurous time there and can warmly recommend the camp!
The staff and the host were really nice and helpful. We had 3 meals/day and the food was great! It had been freshly prepared by a chef at the camp. Every day there was at least one meat/fish option and one vegetarian/sometimes even vegan one for us to choose.
Accomodation:
Charming wooden cabins in a beautiful & peaceful place at the river Tara. We even had a private bathroom. The only down-side of having been at the camp at the end of season was that at night it got pretty cold in the cabin since there was no heating.
Activities:
We had booked one day of rafting and one day of canyoning in advance.
Befor our rafting trip we had a safety briefing. Rafting itself was really fun and everybody in our boat enjoyed it! Due to a bad experience with rafting in the past I was quite anxious and nervous at the beginning, but our experienced rafting guide knew what he was doing and made me feel secure so that I quickly lost my fear and had a great time 🙂
Our canyoning adventure the next day was equally great! The drive car ride to the canyon took approximately 90 mins but was totally worth it.
Since it was been pretty cold that morning I had my doubts about the temperature in the canyon and the water but we were given thick neoprene wetsuits so that the temperature wasn´t a problem at all (except for our hands, which were uncovered and got quite cold).
The canyon itself was stunningly beautiful and it was an amazing experience to explore it from the water! The adventure comprised 10 jumps (the higher ones can be skipped), fun slides and impressive crevices.
We can highly recommend both activities!
