The freediving course was incredible. The setting was beautiful. Learning to calm your body so you use less oxygen and stay down longer felt zen in a very practical way. The course is only two days long which will fit well into a Fiji vacation.
Mike is a great teacher. He was relaxed and we had a great time. He didn’t push me to go faster than I was comfortable with. The only time he gave me a stern look was when talking about safety, which he takes very seriously. On my 10 meter dive I got mesmerized by the reef and fish and stayed down over 2 minutes which was longer than I was supposed to at my experience level. Mike was right there with me and motioned for me to go back up. Yes I got a bit of a talking to on that one 🙂 I felt totally safe and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I got a PADI certification for Freediving. I want to go again and check out the shipwreck! – via
