The so called luxury Velaa resort is a sham, arrived by their seaplane which had no air con on one side, so you can imagine the sweltering plane ride, to top it off they provided only 3 small water bottles, so hot, sweaty and thirsty is how my 10 year old arrived at hotel. Entered the room to be told that the AC is only in the room not the wardrobe or WC area, so more sweaty and sweltering feeling.
Perhaps if they call themselves a 4 star hotel, I would have not complained.
Come here if you love to be disappointed and waste your money, heading off the Cheval Blanc, the true luxury paradise in Maldives.
After receiving the GM reply, here is what I have to add, the Cheval blanc plane is fully air conditioned, so please don’t misguide users of this forum, yes I agree for guests who know luxury perhaps your resort is not suitable at all. And please don’t spread lies on this forum by saying there’s air on in the wrabrobe and the wc area, it’s sad to see you resorting to false information, my best wishes on ruining your owners money by running a shabby hotel and then lying on top of that.
