I went with UDC for my free diving and advanced certifications. I was nervous at first since I had never dove before, but Kade and Nat were not just top notch instructors, but also good people! It was my pleasure to learn here. Know that if you learn to dive here you will be in good hands and the instruction is A+. I love UDC! I have come back 4 times and the instructors are always incredibly professional. The people here are genuinely kind and are excited to make every beginner passionate about scuba diving and ocean conservation. Arash & Jon were my instructors this time and were so incredible. I did my rescue with Arash and my Lionfish Containment with Jon. They were so caring and easy to talk to about diving questions. I ended up getting sea sick on one of the boats and Arash & Jon were on top of everything to make me feel as comfortable as possible during the boat ride.
Jordan, who works at the front desk, is always helpful and takes extra time to help you with scheduling. He is always going above and beyond like answering questions while out and about on the island when he isn’t working. I know a lot of people who keep coming back to UDC because of how helpful Jordan is. His customer service is always 110% and if there is ever an issue, he solves it seamlessly. I cannot imagine UDC without him at the desk.
UDC makes safety the priority and has very high standards for their instructors. They always put your safety first.
I recommend UDC to literally everyone and will continue to come back here for a 5th, 6th, and 7th – via google

I chose UDC for my Discover Scuba Diving class, and trained with Jules. She was great, and I was quickly in the water to learn the few basic skills to dive with an instructor. In the afternoon Sam took me and my friend on the 2 fun dives, and he was patient, professional and did a fantastic job diving with me on my first ever scuba experience. We stopped at 2 dive sites and saw a moray eel. Sam did such a great job I was going to PADI certify, the the timing of the UDC busy staff would take a big chunk from my vacation, so instead we signed up for 2 additional fun dives a few days later. Here Devin did a wonderful job diving with me, and we saw a small shark and a hawk bill turtle! With 4 DSD fun dives along with the UDC instructors I had a wonderful first diving experience and will likely get PADI certified in the future. I’d recommend UDC when diving in Utila-especially for first time divers. – via google

Dive into an Unforgettable Experience with an Exceptional Instructor at Utila Dive Center!

I recently had the pleasure of taking the PADI Advanced Open Water course at Utila Dive Center with scuba diving instructor Beck (Rebecca) Lazansky, and I must say it was one of the best experiences of my life! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and enjoyable.

First off, the Utila Dive Center is located in a prime location in Utila, Islas De Bahia, Honduras, which is a gorgeous island surrounded by crystal clear waters and breathtaking marine life. The facility itself is easily accessible, comfortable, and equipped with well-maintained gear.

Beck Lazansky, my instructor, was a complete rockstar! She was clearly passionate about diving and had great energy and enthusiasm that was infectious. She made the learning experience fun and was able to explain complex concepts clearly, which made everything much easier to grasp. I also really appreciated her emphasis on safety at all times, which helped put my mind at ease.

One thing that really stood out to me about Beck was her ability to meet me where I was at as a diver. If I was scared, she acknowledged me and helped me work through my fears. If I was competent, she pushed me for excellence and helped me refine my skills. She was a natural teacher and the best diving instructor I’ve ever had.

During the course, Beck made sure I repeated skills until I got them right, which was both challenging and rewarding. The feeling of accomplishment when I finally got a skill right and received an underwater fist bump from Beck was truly exhilarating!

Overall, I highly recommend Utila Dive Center and Beck Lazansky to anyone looking to take their scuba diving skills to the next level. The experience was unforgettable, and I can’t wait to come back and dive with them again! – via google

A BIG THANK YOU TO ANTON, CASEY, GABY and TRACY. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of instructors and dive masters. I have (or had!) a paralyzing fear of drowning and UDC helped me overcome my fear. Anton and Casey were patient and supportive. I am also grateful for the time they took to listen to my concerns. Gaby held my hand during my first descent. I panicked right before and she offered that we go down together. If it wasn’t for that, I don’t think I would have kept going. As the class went on, I gained more and more confidence and I finished!

The course over 4.5 days was well paced. I also really appreciated that we did 5 sessions in confined water (right off the dock) in addition to our open water dives. My friend went to another dive school and they only did one confined session.

I highly recommend UDC to those looking for great people and high-quality instruction in a safe environment. Thank you UDC!!! – via google
