We booked a half-day private snorkeling tour with Tohora Bora Bora and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Our guide was Simon, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the behaviors of the marine wildlife as well as an experienced snorkeler and diver. As a private tour, Simon was able to take us to all the places we wanted to see and ultimately we ended up circumnavigating the lagoon. We went to 4 different locations and saw 2 manta rays, hundreds of fish in the coral gardens, sting rays, eagle rays and even snorkeled with black tip sharks. Simon was great and if available, I would highly recommend a private tour with Tohora! – via

Our snorkeling tour with tour guide Simon was really fun and informative! He showed us different and well selected underwater spots (dolphins, mantas, a very nice coral garden, the reef wall outside the lagoon…). He even checked the water clarity before the tour, now that’s what I call great service!
Lastly, I looked at Google reviews of different tour operators in Bora Bora and was horrified to read about guides feeding wildlife or holding on to shark fins. I was very happy that Simon did no feeding or baiting. Two thumbs up! – via

(Translated by Google) Extraordinary excursion which allowed us to follow 2 magnificent Manta rays that we could have stroked so closely they were sometimes, and this for more than 1/2 hour, until they met a 3rd one and then disappeared.
Not content with giving us this memorable experience, Simon then took us swimming among dozens of blacktip sharks, triggerfish and other fish. And on the way back, we made a little detour to admire the dolphins doing their playtime by offering us a spectacle of somersaults, triple axels, etc…. It was simply FANTASTIC!!! THANK YOU again a thousand times Simon!

Excursion extraordinaire qui nous a permis de suivre 2 magnifiques raies Manta que nous aurions pu caresser tellement elles étaient près parfois, et ce pendant plus d’1/2 heure, jusqu’à ce qu’elles rencontrent une 3eme et disparaissent ensuite.
Non content de nous avoir fait vivre cette expérience mémorable, Simon nous a ensuite amenés nager au milieu de dizaines de requins pointes noire , de balistes et autres poissons. Et sur le retour, nous avons fait un petit crochet pour admirer des dauphins qui faisaient leur cabotins en nous offrant un spectacle de saut périlleux, triples axels, etc…. C’était tout bonnement FANTASTIQUE !!! MERCI encore mille fois Simon !
