Amazing amazing amazing!! We booked this as a last minute add on to be closer to Xunantunich and other excursions we were interested in and it far exceeded our expectations for our family with 3 children!! They organized our transfer from the airport and our private amazing tour the following day where we did Xunantunich in the morning followed by zip lining and cave tubing and then over to a different resort!! The customer service and attention to details to make this all happen for my birthday was perfect! I highly highly recommend Darren our tour guide and Chaa creek resort! They packed us a lunch for the excursions and the food was so fresh and delicious and they used Ecco friendly reusable containers which is so impressive to do what is right for the environment even when it isn’t the easiest option! – via

Chaa Creek is a unique mix of ecotourism and high end luxury. The staff is great. The food is delicious. And the grounds are amazing. Howler monkeys Jurassic park vocalizations fill the night. Geckos croak and eliminate any flying bugs in your beautiful thatched roof huts. The showers are ample with side by side shower heads plus an outdoor one. Hang in the hammocks on your porch and look up at the massive palm trees. Wander over to the bar and talk with the concierge about visiting the local Mayan ruins, float down the river in canoes to San Ignacio or visit the butterfly breeding are with the Morphos, owls butterfly and the yellow ones. They love sweat so I was covered in them. My favorite morning activity was walking the grounds and birdwatching. Toucans to hummingbirds. Woodpeckers to parrots. So many and the guide spots them with his scope and provides binoculars. Really a great place for kids. In the way from Belize city stop at the Belize Zoo too. – via
