I did 12 dives with the Dive Bus over 5 days. TDLR: Kind staff, great diving all over the island, knowledgeable & experienced dive masters
The people at the Dive Bus are kind and warm. They’ve been working together for a long time and act like a family team. That warmth really spreads out to their divers and makes the whole experience better. Everyone helps setup for dives. I met a lot of divers who have been diving with them for years and years, and I’ll bet that’s one of the reasons they come back. Special thanks to Zoe for driving us to and from our airbnb – so appreciated. And shoutout to Luna, the dive shop’s dog!
The bus will drive you to dive sites all over the island – east and west, which makes it great for seasick-prone divers. However, for boat-lovers, you can do dives off a boat as well (it’s a small lifeboat so pack real light). If you’re on a budget or time crunch, I highly recommend the boat dives on the east side (Kathy’s Paradise)! It was pristine and beautiful. Honorable mentions to Cas Abao and Watamula.
The dive masters know the reefs and the currents. Some of them have been diving the island for over a decade. They know where the animals are and will give you pointers on your diving. I also appreciate that they took the time to help us out with our equipment; my friend had some issues with her BCD and I had issues with my GoPro mount. Thank you, Mark, Nanne and Whitney! It was such a pleasure diving with you.
While I did not get any certifications with them, I think any of them would be excellent instructors. You really want people with years of experience under their belt and I would definitely do my certifications with them if I could plan it all over again. Thank you, Dive Bus for such a marvelous week of diving. Hope to be back soon. – via
