The diving academy club in Ko Somui is wonderfull
We took 3 dives to Ko Tao. The service was proffesional and kind. We took also explorer diving lesson wich was woderfull. All the guids where proffisoinal, kind and with a grate sence of humor.
Klife the guid was grate. He is Very cool and he gave us a lot of confidence.

Avoid this dive centre at all cost. (Dive Academy, Silent Divers they’re all the same)
If I could give it a zero I would. Dan, the ship leader lost 2 of his divers and were quick to blame them even while still swimming back towards the boat. Later on, the boat boy dropped my friend’s camera into the ocean and Dan pushed the responsibility back to us by stating we should have held on to our belongings instead of passing it to the boat boy while getting out of the water.
The boat they use is tiny, on both days there’s 24+ divers so spaces are more cramped than London tube.
Oh I’m not finished, our dive master Andrey criticised us for putting on gear too slowly despite them only letting divers try out fin sizes moments before jumping into the water. Terrible dive shop organisation and culture, we were asked to make payment twice despite having already paid off our full balance. If you want a nice relaxing excursion I would NOT recommend this place.

Me and my girlfriend did 2 dives with the company and we were super happy with the overall service. The staff super friendly, the equiptment in good conditions, food was good, dives were awesome, we couldn’t ask for more. Dive Academy was great to dive with! Master Diver Pan took my wife and I on two awesome fun dives, while Dive Instructor Dan led our two teens on their first dive adventure, a two-dive Discover Scuba session. Our daughter was reluctant but Dan walked her through the whole process, made her feel comfortable, and turned her into a scuba fan! I do all of my Advanced training at The Dive Academy as well as source all my gear from them. Such knowledgeable staff and thousands of dives of experience to draw from whether it is delivering training to a group of new divers to going into the effects of diving on the tissues of the body. Amazing experience every time I go in to the shop or message the staff via their web site.

If you’re looking for a dive shop…stop looking once you’ve checked out the Dive Academy. They will take the time to give you personal attention and recommendations based on your needs…not their’s. Having just returned from a trip to Indonesia put on by them (and having used them for years as my go to for courses and gear servicing) I don’t have a bad word to say about this shop…they are simply the best ! – via

The Dive Academy is more that a dive shop, it is a diver community hub that is not only focused on providing great service but making sure to really know you and your needs as a diver.
We just dropped off our familys 16 tanks for their annual vis check. John and Dean noted that several tanks would need Hydro’s later this year which would mean that we would have have then for a week or two in the prime season.
Since they know our busy diving schedule they called and worked out a plan to send a couple at a time now so that we would always have enough tanks each weekend. It was more work and planning for them, but that is the difference between a just being a shop vs being a partner that supports your underwater adventures.
