With the infrastructure of his diving center on Lake Zwenkauer, Robert offers an attractive and reasonable opportunity for training as well as purchasing and renting equipment. Thanks to an installed self-filling system for diving bottles, you can fill them yourself 24/7 using a purchased transponder after a short instruction. The lake itself is exciting to dive with its scenery. Due to the influence of the season, visibility in the lake fluctuates throughout the year. There is also a delicious Italian restaurant within walking distance of the base. In our opinion, definitely worth a visit! -via

We completed a dry diving course at Lake Zwenkauer over a period of 3 days. The theoretical documents were sent to us in advance for preparation so that we could familiarize ourselves with the special features of dry diving. (not a given!) All of the equipment was provided on loan (at no extra cost) during the course, not just once but twice after my wife “flooded” her suit (through her own fault). We have had Padi at various diving centers in the past Completed courses up to “Dive Master”, but we have never experienced a course with such professionalism, passion for diving and patience. It should also be emphasized that a unique individual training takes place here (with video recordings) without an overcrowded diving center the price-performance ratio is right.

My daughter (14 years old) had an introductory diving lesson. Apart from the totally authentic ambience on site, the friendly reception immediately made you feel welcome and comfortable. Robert took a lot of time to explain everything to my daughter, always had a funny saying on his lips to ease the excitement and helped with getting dressed (a lot of layers). The way to the water was short, but you should have a bit of strength – the equipment weighs not only 1 kg ;-). Once in the water, we calmly repeated the most important things and started with a few exercises. I quickly had the feeling that my daughter might not be very comfortable with this and might back out, but Robert had an incredibly calming manner and so the dive could start without any problems. She came out of the water again with a grin from right to left ear and incredibly happy. A very successful trip! Thank you very much for the great experience! -via

In 2016 I decided to start my diving training at the Zwenkauer See diving center because it initially gave a promising and professional impression. I was so impressed by the positive experiences that I decided to accept the Master Scuba Diver Academy offer.

The Master Scuba Diver Academy offers a comprehensive package with the opportunity to complete 5 specialist courses, where you can choose 3 courses of your own choosing. Additionally, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, the PADI Rescue Diver course and the Emergency First Response course are included. The total value of the package is €2500 and financing is provided through monthly payments of €70 over a period of 24 months. The diving school promises unrestricted access to all ACADEMY content after paying the registration fee and the first monthly installment, as well as the opportunity to complete all courses regardless of previous payments. However, the decision about the next step or course rests with the responsible diving instructor, as stated in the contract.

Although my initial experiences were promising, over time and through interactions with other divers, I noticed that the Zwenkauer See diving center did not meet the usual safety and quality standards that I would have expected from a professional diving school. Because of these concerns, it was with a heavy heart that I decided to change diving centers in order to receive higher quality training. I tried to get out of my contract early because it didn’t make sense for me to pay for courses that I would ultimately have to repeat at another diving school. Unfortunately, my request to cancel was rejected because there were no provisions for early termination in the contract. I was informed that the contract was still valid and that I was obliged to pay monthly.

Since I didn’t want to waste my financial investment in vain, I finally decided to take a course within the “MSDA”. I was confronted with an extremely disappointing reaction from the diving school. I was informed that certain conditions must be met before a course can be scheduled. This includes continuing to pay the monthly fee until the cost of the course is fully covered.

Although I had already paid €1349, I was informed that an additional amount of €476 would have to be paid for the course. I felt this was excessive at the time. It was also explained to me that this corresponds to approximately 6.8 (i.e. 7) additional monthly installments that would still have to be paid before the course can take place. The reason for this was that my intention to terminate had resulted in considerable costs and that the mutual trust had been permanently disrupted. It’s important to note that there can be no question of significant costs if I only sent a three-line cancellation attempt via email and all payments were always made on time.

Due to my personal experiences and the unfulfilled contractual agreements, I strongly advise against this diving school. This is not just about poor performance, but money is clearly lost and trust in compliance with contractual agreements is disappointed. In my opinion, an unprofessional approach to customers and their financial investments is practiced here. I don’t even want to mention any other negative experiences at this point. -via
