Tamarind Divers is a domestically owned PADI Dive Center situated at Villa Wayan in Tamarind Beach, Nusa Lembongan. We opened in May 2016 and have a wealth of experience inside our worldwide crew of instructors and divemasters. Together we now have greater than 20 years of diving experience within the waters round Nusa Lembongan. Our intention is to supply a personalised, pleasant dive experience, with small teams whose particular person diving wants could be happy.

would give 10 stars if I could. The staff of tamarind diving centers was kind, professional, accurate and friendly. We dived with them for 7 days. We are not beginners, we have been diving for more than 20 years and we can say that we never met such a professional company. A special thank to Suka and Buntur ( sorry If I wrote their name wrongly) who guided us during these days.. But all the staff was perfect! Wish you all the best. We came across Tamarind Divers as we were staying in a Villa nearby. As a group we have dived in a lot of places around the world, and I can confidently say that Tamarind Divers are one of the best dive shops I have dived with. Very happy that we accidentally came across the company!

Every aspect of our experience was 5 stars. The dive groups were small and very personalised; very different to a lot of dive company’s that just try and fit as many people on the boat as possible. The staff were very friendly and professional throughout and were excellent company.

The dive sites were awesome. Even though we went in February when the weather isn’t traditionally the best for Indonesia the dive sites were very high quality. We saw heaps of excellent coral and marine life. The dive masters helped point out things I never would have found. They were also excellent at finding the species in marine books afterwards for us.

Manta Point is one of the best dives I have ever done and a must to add to any divers bucket list. Soo many Manta Ray’s pretty much guaranteed!

If you are heading to Nusa Lembongan I would highly recommend you checking these guys out. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks Suka, Ty, Bunter, Chris, and all the rest of the staff for an excellent 3 days of diving. When we come back to Bali we’ll definitely dive with you guys again.

Over the course of the last month, I spent 11 days diving with Tamarind Divers.

Diving with Tamarind has been a special experience, specifically because the staff create such a wonderful ethos. The shop is locally owned and run, and the staff are a very close-knit team. They are really on top of the safety aspect of diving (e.g. they always take oxygen out on their boats and test it regularly), and they also give really in-depth briefings before each dive, which my partner and I always note as a mark of a thorough and enthusiastic dive shop. Every single member of staff will go out of their way to help you out, and each day on the boat there was so much genuine enthusiasm.

Bunter (divemaster) is a fantastic guide and has magic eyes for spotting the small stuff—and when I say small stuff, he even once pointed out a nudibranch that was the size of a slither of fingernail! Pepe (instructor) brought exuberance and passion to everything he did, and made the time on the boat and in the water so much fun. He is also EXTREMELY knowledgeable after more than 40 years as a diver. Suka (divemaster and co-owner) is wonderful, his gentle nature pervades everything he does, from how welcome he made us feel as customers to how he runs the dive shop with such warmth and consideration. It’s clear that his team love working there and that he had created something really special.

And finally, the rest of the team are amazing, keeping the entire operation running not only smoothly but as if it is a real joy: the fantastic (and super smiley!) “Capitan” Mare, who navigates the open waves with serious expertise; Kadek and Bayu, the two dive shop helpers; Wayan, the other co-owner who ferried us to and from our accommodation; and finally, Paul and Evy (who left after my first couple of weeks as they had to leave to go back to Australia at the end of the season) who made us feel really welcome and gave us the lowdown on diving in the area in the first place. – via
