Wonderful experience at TWT this 2023 labor day week-end in spite of the cold and rainy weather, so glad we didn’t cancel… Matt and his crew were fantastic teachers and guides, we had a blast. This is a very well run local business, extremely serious about safety and working very hard providing a great experience for their customers. The water gear provided is top notch. They clearly love what they are doing and are customer oriented. Our little girl (almost 9 years old) is afraid of the water and freaked out during the safety brief prior to boarding the boats. Matt totally noticed that and knew how to reassure her, and in the end she had a blast too. I had so much fun I decided to buy the pricey photo package (which I usually never do for this kind of stuff) both because I wanted these pictures and I really want to support this business. We’ll be back on a warm sunny day! – via google

I had an absolute blast at Tahoe White Water Tours. It was my first time rafting and I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect and I was a little nervous. The guides made sure to ease my nerves and were super helpful by giving us the appropriate knowledge on safety and what to expect before hand as well as being very direct and clear in their communications while on the raft. I felt completely safe with my guide, Ivan, and he helped ensure that the entire ride was exciting and fun! I would absolutely go back to this place to run the rapids again! 11/10 recommend!!! – via google

Had a great experience with my family at Tahoe Whitewater tours. Our guide, David, was the best! He was very knowledgeable about the river and local history. This whitewater rafting tour has something for everyone, first timers and seasoned people. David had us do 360s, wave surfing, rock bouncing, and beach stalls. If you go ask him to show you hidden splash trout. 😉 All the staff was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for The best whitewater experience in Truckee , Tahoe Whitewater is the place to go. – via google

Had an amazing experience with our guide, Suki. She was amazing knowing exactly what we needed to do to get through everything safely. She would give us lots of information before each set of rapids so we knew what to expect and then gave clear commands during the rapids so we could maneuver through with ease. Do be careful though that you follow the signs for Tahoe Whitewater Tours because there are other tour companies in the same area and you can easily end up with the wrong company. After going through one company’s safety briefing and then realizing we were with the wrong group, we went through Tahoe Whitewater Tour’s safety briefing and WOW was theirs so much more thorough than the other one. So 12/10 totally recommend! – via google

Went yesterday morning as my first time white water rafting and had an absolute blast. We were a group of four and were able to be in our own raft which was nice and our house, Suki, was the absolute best. She was great at giving us directions and guiding us to hit all the right spots in the river for a super thrilling ride with no tipping over or falling out.

Had a hard time finding where to check in, so FYI it’s above the gas station up the hill with a white tent/shade cover.

Can’t recommend this company and Suki enough! – via google

We had such an awesome whitewater experience with Tahoe Whitewater Tours. We went on the Truckee River in mid August, as it was my first time, and it was a good mix of relaxing, swimming in the river at a few swimming holes and experimenting really fun rapids. It was very well organized and all the guides were fun, especially Skylar, as he made learning about the sport fun and easy to remember.

Our raft guide was Izzy and she was so knowledgeable, calm and helped guide us through some tough areas and tough situations. She was funny and confident. The photographer, Chris was so awesome. They offer a thumb drive with photos and I highly recommend getting this, as you will get photos throughout your trip on a thumb drive by the end of the trip. I was very impressed how quickly he captured all the moments on the camera, organized them and got them on a thumb drive, all in time for us to take home.

I highly recommend the Truckee River with Tahoe Whitewater Tours, for first timers and children, and other rivers for more experienced individuals.

Thank you for a memorable experience Tahoe Whitewater Tours. I will be back!

My family went for a birthday event and it was a blast. They accommodated our group of eleven accordingly and had great guides there to help. Kelly, my guide was a blast to talk to and even let me, 13, guide the boat on an easy part of the river. She knew a lot about the area, too so we got a good history lesson about the place. Never flipped over either. Overall, a great place to go for any event. And all the guides know what they are doing and are very friendly towards everyone. – via google

Fantastic experience. My 12 year old son just took his scuba course and Seth and his team could not have been more awesome/ kind/ helpful/ patient. I was able to watch part of the pool time and was impressed with how thorough yet relaxed it all seemed. My son really connected with his instructor and came home both nights bursting with excitement telling us everything they covered that day. He’s already hooked (just like his parents).
