In my opinion, the wave has gotten worse and the price higher. With a full session you stand in line for ages and get little for your money. Most of the coaches are super nice and accommodating. Sometimes it is noticeable that sometimes “the wave is not in view” and accordingly the emergency stop could only be reached with a great deal of delay.
Surfing is still fun though. But among other things, due to the above points, I have reduced my surf sessions from once a week to a few times a year.

Grundsätzlich kann man sagen, dass es Unterschiede zum regulären Wellenreiten gibt. Über die Jahre hat die Welle in Langenfeld sich stark verändert. Meiner Meinung nach ist die Welle schlechter geworden und dafür die Preis höher. Bei einer vollen Session steht man ewig an und bekommt wenig für sein Geld. Die Coaches sind zum großen Teil super nett und zuvorkommend. Teilweise fällt auf, das manchmal “die Welle nicht im Blick ist” und dementsprechend der Notaus nur mit großer Verzögerung zu erreichen wäre.
Spaß macht surfen allerdings trotzdem noch. Aber unter anderem durch die o.g. Punkte habe ich meine Surf Sessions von 1x die Woche auf ein paar mal im Jahr gedrosselt. – via

Komme seit drei Jahren mit großer Begeisterung wieder und wieder zur Welle. Habe hier schon viel Spaß gehabt und viele nette Leute getroffen.
Jetzt werde ich ernsthaft genötigt, drei noch offene slots meiner big wave-Rabattmarke verfallen zu lassen, weil diese nicht wandelbar für medium wave wären. Zwei Telefonate, ein persönliches Gespräch führen zu nix. Hab da eine andere Idee von hang loose … fühl mich eher screwed.
