The center canceled the reservation only on Tuesday noon for a dive scheduled for Wednesday morning. The reason: “no instructor available” even though the reservation was made at the beginning of January… it wasn’t even a reason for bad conditions… they offered to postpone the dive only 3 days later… disappointing and not very professional… – via

Went for a dive on Friday with Sundive and it was AMAZING! The site is beautiful and the team are all super knowledgeable and professional. The visibility wasn’t the best but my dive guide Lisa had no problem spotting all the best stuff and making sure i’d seen it too. She knew the site like the back of her hand and even swapped her own mask with me when I was struggling with mine. We saw gorgeous leopard sharks, eagle rays, blue spotted rays, turtles, stone fish and so much more, 10/10

We did two dives at Julian Rocks which was really nice. Lots of wobbegongs, also saw some moray eels, turtle and little shark hidden in the rocks. The dives are well organised; there’s a little bit of a challenge getting into the boat (beach launch) but very well done and explained. – via

Very nice diving spots and good dive guides.
They’re a bit rusty on the communication, though.
The day before the dive, we received a message not to arrive before 7.30 am. Because then the staff would still be busy with preparing things. At 7.26 am. on the dive day, we got a call from them asking where we were, as they had to leave soon. We weren’t there yet because you told us not to be there yet.
The diving was amazing! We booked 2 dives, and we were very excited for the second one. So we were waiting around the shop, making sure our gear was ready for the second dive. But we waited and waited. And nothing happened. Se I asked when we were expected to leave for the second dive. That’s when they told us there won’t be a second dive because the boat needed maintenance. Apparently, everyone knew except us. Very disappointing. Please make sure everyone is informed and make sure your boats are ready before the start of the day, so you don’t have to cancel dives unexpectedly. All in all, it was still a nice day. But the customer service could use some improvement. – via

We have dived with Sundive for the first time last year and we couldn’t wait to go back. Finally got back on Saturday 28/01/23 and what a happy day it was! The crew is awesome, everything runs smoothly and great vibes all day. Shout out to our lovely guide Malin and to Simone, who helped us with our puppy so we could go for the most amazing dive. Really couldn’t recommend more these guys.

Amazing dive centre! Both guides were older with lots of experience and wanted to show us a great dive.
We had the Spanish guy (sorry, can’t remember name) who was amazing, then Leigh in the 2nd dive who took us nice and slow so we could take in all the sites.
The operation was fast, simple and of course Julian Rocks was Devine.
Our skipper was a true character as well.

Fantastic experience to visit one of the world’s most beautiful dive spots with vibrant sea life. The intro dive process is well organised to prioritise our safety. Our intro dive instructor made us feel at ease every step of the way including a practice session in a pool to gain confidence breathing underwater. The dive spot is stunning – in the 40 minutes we were underwater we saw a turtle, stingrays and leopard sharks. We paid extra to book a diver to film us with a GoPro – the footage I will cherish forever. If you are coming to Byron Bay you do not want to miss out on this memorable experience.
