Most surf schools just push students into already breaking whitewater…these guys had my son paddling out and surfing straight from the lineup, taking off on the face and even getting a turn or two in. 5-Stars across the board. Rusty and Sean provided our family with an amazing experience!

Both my daughters (ages 8 and 6) had never surfed before, aren’t used to the ocean and one is not much of a thrill seeker! Despite this, I was really hoping my girls would have a positive experience, and Rusty made sure of that! The kids had the absolute best time, caught some waves and can’t wait to do it again! Such a great success:)

Rusty’s calm and kind demeanor put both of my kids at ease, and his skill in the water made sure they felt safe even with some hard crashing waves.

Rusty and Sean also helped my husband and I get past the waves when we weren’t able to ourselves! I’ve surfed a handful of times in my life, but Sean helped me catch more waves than I ever have before.

They went over and above (literally) for us!

Highly recommend reaching out if you are interested in kids or adult lessons!

We love Carlsbad, and will be in touch next time we make our way south from Canada! – via google

My 17 year old daughter and 15 year old son took surf lessons this past weekend with Drew through So Cal Surf Lesson. Drew was fantastic! The surf was super rough but Drew was great about helping the kids get out to the calmer waves, taught great technique, and wore himself out swimming right along with the kids. Highly recommend Drew and So Cal Surf. Reasonably price and great customer service. – via google

This was the absolute COOLEST experience. Got the 2 person package and took my Partner for his birthday. I didn’t think I was going to be able to stand up on a surf board because I’ve never been able to balance on a skateboard. This was completely different for me and I had SO much fun. Dagan was our instructor. He made it really easy to remember the most important safety & technical bits, and the vibes were immaculate. New hobby unlocked!! – via google

My husband and I took a week of lessons in SoCal in September. Our instructor was Homer, and we can say without any doubt that he is the best teacher we ever had! He is very supportive and always provides detailed feedback. Our sessions were super fun, and we learned so much, seeing consistent progress lesson by lesson. Never surfed before and wanted a beginner lesson, same day, within 3 hrs of phoning. Rusty was brilliant and sorted me out a 1:1 lesson in 2.5 hrs. Good clear instructions and met Justin easy. Justin was awesome. Period. Such a good teacher and had me standing up straight away. Can not fault the experience, was flawless. They were very patient with 4 adults and 1 thirteen year old girl from Iowa will no surfing experience.

I’ve never surfed before and I was a little nervous about just meeting someone at the beach.

They let me pay after the lesson so no worries there.

The instructor was patient and had me up on the board right away (great coaching Victor). Then he worked me through a solid foundation so that I know what to do if I come out again.

Based on an international airport and with access to a runway long enough to take the largest of all drop capable aircraft this DZ has the potential to be one of the best in the country.
An incredibly friendly atmosphere and great staff – I can’t imagine anyone walking away from a skydive there and not having thoroughly enjoyed it!
