Went with my family of 5 and another family of 5, expecting a day on the beach, so we packed a lunch, drinks, and all the other preparations for the day. When we pulled up, we were directed to a parking spot. The gentleman that directed us to that spot told us we could park there for free, use their wifi and restrooms, and beach chairs for free. This was actually a restaurant and bar (no surprise). Although we did order drinks and some shareable food, which was all good, we felt a little like we didn’t have much else for options. Basically the entire stretch of the beach is taken up by establishments like this. We had a good time, and the food and service was good, it was just not quite what we had planned for. – via

The food and bars at secret beach are very good. The parking is relatively easy and the beaches are clean and there is a lot to do.
The drive there from San Pedro gets worse every time we visit. Huge dump trucks take up the road and blow dirt and dust all over you as you are riding and bouncing horribly on your small golf cart. Also the road continues to be terrible for the last miles to get there.
They need to do something about the trucks and construction traffic or tourists will stop making the drive. – via

Secret Beach stretches across a bunch of restaurants. Maybe don’t take the first one (it’s usually quite packed), but also check the other options. The chairs at the beach are free, but you have to get a drink or food. They are really good. Prices are okay, like everywhere in Ambergris Caye. Service is very friendly 🙂 – via
