Waren jetzt über Weihnachten und Silvester das erste Mal in Dahab. Da wir Taucher sind haben wir die Tauchbasis Sea Dancer neu kennengelernt und sind beeindruckt von der Tauchbasis. Man fühlt sich wie in einer Familie aufgenommen. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt und da wir kein englisch sprechen wurde uns deutschsprechendes Personal an die Seite gegeben, das war für uns natürlich hervorragend. Vielen Dank an Marlies, Ahmet und Susann. Die gute Seele des Hauses ist Imad der alles im Blick hat. Vielen Dank an Emad.
Auf alles wird geachtet und jeder hilft jedem, daher können wir mit besten Gewissen diese Tauchbasis weiterempfehlen, Preis-, Leistung stimmt und die gesamte Crew sind immer gut drauf. An Ashraf, Steve, Joy, alle Guides besonders Omar und den Rest der Crew nochmals einen herzlichen Dank. Die Tauchgänge waren ein Traum und sehr entspannt, Ihr habt zu unserem Traumurlaub beigetragen und die Fahrer der Shuttle wollen wir auch nicht vergessen, sehr aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und liebenswürdig. Bitte ein paar Streicheleinheiten an Flash, der Beschützer des Tauchcenter.:-)

Just spent two weeks in wonderful Dahab and have to conclude the only way to describe the experience is life changing. You will find a real community of fine people at Sea Dancer who will welcome you as a friend. I can’t recommend them enough. Completed my OW and Advanced OW with Instructor Amad who was brilliant, very professional and patient, giving you the confidence you need to really enjoy your diving. The locations are absolutely spectacular and in particular the stunning Blue Hole. A big thanks to Steve, Hamada, Ashraf, Farah, Eid and the whole team for being so cool. I will be back as soon as possible to continue by PADI training and of course to enjoy the wonderful underwater world in Egypt. Thank you is not enough! – via

We got our Open Water Diver licence here last month. All in all it was a good experience. The most important criteria choosing the right center to me are the skills and experience of the instructor himself and the feeling of safety he can give to a new diver. It has been great with Hamada. He explained everything with patience and was repeating single exercises over and over again, until we got it right. For some exercises I have been scared but acknowledged soon enough that I have someone on my side who has everything under control.
However, I have to admit that staying quite some time with the center, it appears more than natural that you expect a minimum of hospitality including the offer of at least a glass of water, as you stay for up to 6,7 hours a day. Unfortunately there was not such an offer and questions were answered with the recommendation of a store to buy water by ourselves. I don’t have a comparison to other diving centers in Dahab, maybe that’s a common thing, but to me it is a no-go, drinks and snacks are very affordable in Egypt and you let quite a sum with the centers.
Another situation was that we planned to do a boat trip with another organizer some days after we finished the Open Water course. We passed by the center for their opinion as experts of the area. The reaction was honestly poor, which showed that they would only want you to book something with them. At the end I regretted my greenness to have asked for advice, as the trip was amazing, but my question led to some bad consequences. I found this so unprofessional! In the retrospect I have the impression that also the owner was only nice as long as we were deciding about booking something. Would I go back? Honestly, for Hamada yes. If it would not be with him, I am not that sure.
I took a month of time to reflect on this experience, but decided that it is only fair to people like us debating about the if, to know about all this. Little changes could make a huge difference! I hope you see this as a chance and won’t take it bad.
