i would recommend this place to any new or experienced divers, the staff is very friendly and welcoming as well as all their prices are very fair. Just went and got my bottle VIP tested, my bottle sadly failed but they did not charge me because of it failing. They are a very professional and the best local shop around. – via

Awesome place to dive, but it is dark and deep. Recently, the shop has improved markedly, and is a good place for training and gear.

Note that they are closed on Wednesday during the winter. – via

What an experience it was to get certified with John Borders and Scuba West! John is extremely knowledgeable and very thorough when showing demonstrations or learning in the classroom.

The entire staff is welcoming and is always willing to help in every way possible. Will definitely be back frequently for dives in the Grotto. Thanks again John and Scuba West! – via

Fantastic little dive shop I stumble upon today! I didn’t know about the grotto next door, I am from up north and needed a few things for a dive in the gulf. That turned into an awesome day of diving with Mike with no other divers! The visibility wasn’t the greatest, but the cool little things in the quarry and the sunken bits make it very fun! Very cool and worth the small entrance free to dive. And fill your tanks, support this gear little shop! And stick around a bit and you might here some cool diving stories. – via

Recently obtained my open water diver cert at Scuba West. Great experience! All of the staff super knowledgeable. John Boaders was my instructor. Great guy. Answered all my questions, great explanation of everything. Took his time to make sure I was comfortable. If you want your scuba cert, Scuba West it’s your place! ! ! – via

Matt from SCUBA West did a fantastic job of introducing my son to night diving, and giving us a fun night tour of the Grotto.
