I hadn’t gone diving in years, and did a refresher class with Brentwood Scuba Shack. It was a fabulous experience, and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area! Scuba Shack has every thing I look for in a dive shop, the staff are kind and helpful; they make everything simpler and are easy to work with. The staff at Scuba Shack are great teachers, in all of my certifications they have been excellent at showing me the right way to do things with helpfull positive criticism to make me a better diver. I belive they have my best intrest at heart and are always trying to help. When I rent gear from them, it is always high quality and I have had zero problems with it. In the shop, they have always had what I’m looking for with competitive prices, in both gear and certifications. The trips they host are great, the sites you’ll get to go to are beautiful. The staff are so knowledgeable, if you want to know anything, just ask! 11/10 highly recommend to any diver hoping to improve anything. – via

Scuba Shack has been amazing to dive with! I first got my open water certification with Dan and am now a master diver thanks to the amazing training done by all instructors. The staff are always polite and help you find exactly what you need, whether is be dive equipment, places to dive (locally or on trips), or servicing my gear. Everyone I talk to is very knowledgeable and very friendly whether I’m doing training or just running into them fun diving. 10/10 if you are interested in learning how to dive or continuing training this is the place to go! – via

This review is long overdue. Scuba Shack helped certify my Girl Scout troop and family during COVID-19. Dan was very patient with all my questions and scheduling private classes during the week that fit all of our busy schedules and accommodate using a private pool. The gear the girls used was well maintained. These girls still love diving and my family continues to go to scuba shack for all their needs. Thank you Dan and the rest of scuba shack for making quarantine a little more fun! – via

This shop is amazing! I first got certified with my family as an SSI open water diver and have been training with Scuba Shack since. The staff in the shop and instructors are always friendly and I never leave without learning something new and improving my dive experience. The trips through Scuba Shack are also extraordinary with great dive destinations and even better divers both on the trip and at the resort! You can always call the shop and they recommend great quarries. I have also had my equipment serviced by Scuba Shack’s technicians and they always do so in a timely manner and tell me exactly what they did to my gear. Before I owned my own gear I also rented from Scuba Shack. Rental gear is always well maintained and I feel safe diving in it. I love that Scuba Shack does not charge you for additional days of rental when they are not open. For anyone looking to learn how to dive or continue diving this is an amazing shop full of great divers! – via

Respectfully, do not dive with this dive shop if it is your first time diving. As I was very nervous to partake in scuba diving, I felt that my feelings and concerns were invalidated by the way I was treated by certain employees at this dive shop. More specifically, I felt idiotic due to the aggressive answers and impatient manners that I would receive from the dive instructor when asking him specific questions. To conclude, this dive shop is not the friendliest as it does not demonstrate a warm, safe environment. I would highly recommend going to another dive shop in Nashville to enjoy your scuba diving experience comfortably and receiving the patience that should be given when first learning how to dive. – via

Me and 7 of the kids certified through Scuba Shack along with son in law, other family members and several of our friends over the years they were amazing with the kids and working around our crazy schedules along with making sure we have always been taken care of over the years. If they do not have what we need in the shop they do their best to try and get it or send us in the right direction. Highly recommend and look forward to them certifying the grandkids when they are old enough. – via
