I was suuuuuper lucky to find a last minute spot for their OWC
I didn’t even ask until I ran out of options because they are known to be the best and I figured they’d be full booked/overpriced. But they weren’t ! Actually much cheaper than some competitors !

I took the 4D3N OWC and Yen was my instructor. Everything went perfectly. I even stayed an extra day to do more fun dives

Everybody is so sweet, everything is explained to you when you arrive at the resort and the organisation is super on point
I would have loved to take my AOW with them right away but.. the resort was full again

Couldn’t recommend more – extremely professional and safe diving, small guided groups with excellent and passionate guides, beautiful accomodation with great food, and of course brilliant diving. A very demotivated scuba diving experience with Scuba Junkie.

Instructor : Rude, Lazy, Impatience, Insulting, No proper explanation during training, Demotivate, Keep showing anger which doesn’t help on training.

Theory class : the instructor slept outside the class whole day. no clear instructions were given. only asked us to watch the video and complete quiz. we thought of completing the quiz and watch the videos afterward so that we can focus. ended up we have to complete the quiz and exams without watching the videos. some quizzes were answered wrongly. and we thought of asking some questions. however, we got insulted by the instructor like an idiot.

Physical training : instructor gave briefing in such inappropriate manner. instructions were not given clearly and not speaking properly too. As if he was on drugs or something? Which is not funny at all. Expected us to understand and remember everything with such lousy briefing. Then not giving proper training method while diving. What we got the whole training were being insulted when we did wrongly. F word and middle finger given to my partner as well.

In overall experience was quite disappointing as we expected to get a fun learning experience here. unfortunately, it turns out a nightmare and demotivating.

Environment : trash everywhere.

Echoing what everyone else is saying in terms of the organisation. Everything is clearly scheduled for you, no need to spend energy on anything else than enjoying the experience.
Resort is nice and the overall experience was great. Instructors and guides are all knowledgeable and help you make the most of your vacation.
Similar to other reviews, the only downside is that we didn’t book more days there.

Lastly , the food can be a bit more varied. Understand their approach of not using seafood, but the chicken can be cooked in multiple ways 🙂 – via

From the first contact until the last minute was GREAT. The first email that I send was replied really early morning, which made it faster for last minute travel planification. They took care of finding a driver at a reasonable price from Tawau airport to Semporna. ALL the staff is professional, very pleasant and helpful, at the Semporna office and at the resort. A big club but perfectly organized. I first booked for 3 days but ended up staying 7. Unfortunately for me I could not dive but did 3 snorkeling sessions/day with amazing guide every time.
Highly recommend booking with them. – via

I recently did my Padi Open Water and Advanced Open Water Courses here and had a great experience.

Mark my instructor, was an absolute legend. I quite honestly couldn’t imagine a better teacher. I myself am a school teacher and have 10 years experience as an adventure guide prior to that. I found it very hard to flaw Mark. I found his knowledge and delivery of the course content to be perfect. He was engaging, passionate, highly knowledgeable, safety focussed and made me feel very comfortable asking questions. He was professional, personable, playful and hilarious which calmed my nerves, this made me feel very comfortable asking questions and also made the whole experience very fun. If I was to advance my certification further in any way I would fly to Borneo to be taught by Mark again. I believe there is no better teacher and I know that I would be in very safe, competent hands and that I would have a fantastic time. – via
