The company: it’s called scuba froggy PADI 5 Star ?? Diving Center because they deserve nothing else than 5 Stars out of 5. They put customer service and saftey to the max. They are pros.
The customer advisory by Mahri: 5 stars. He tailored a package perfectly listening and matching our needs with oportunity to up- or downgrade right in the diving safari, in case we want to do just 2 or 3 scuba dives, and in case of just wanting to snorkle (cause my wife was scared), to do so. Price adjustment after the Trip. Remember: they have to bring ALL the bottles and gear to the boat and to the car!!! This oportunity was MORE than fair!
The driver, Aziz: 5 stars, perfectly in time, always having a smile on the lips, picking us up in the hotel lobby, driving like a boss, not to fast, saftey first, stops at the road side, when having to answer a phone call, car in good shape, ride to the boat takes about 15 minutes. When they load the boat, you can wait on a pearl selling shop, no scamming, just sit by the ocean and enjoy for 10 minutes, if you want, you can order a good espresso or local coffee or a soft drink. At the left you can see locals preparing the clamps to gain pearls. Beautyful Pearls. Aziz was all the time with us, making the safari feeling like being with your best friend.
The boat captain, Opek: 5 stars. A professional captain, he rode that boat gently over the see, when encountering waves, slowing down and making the ride easy and joyfull, always having a smile. We have made realy Bad experiences with Speed Boats, this was the opposite.
The food: 5 Stars. You get as many as water as you want and need, they offer you delicious water melon on the boat, lunch included, vegetarian / vegan option, my wife (vegan) and I did not have such a tastefull food on the beach or the fancy restaurants in Ubud or on the Sengiggi beach. Rice, chicken filet (real chicken breast), tofu, peanut patty, Green beans (delicious and spicy, but not too much, with the right amount of fresh, fried galic) and a boiled egg.
The staff on the boat: 5 Stars. Drove that dive experience for my wife and me to the max, they put the gear on you, even the fins, always joking and in a really good mood, good vibes, nonstop, coming from the heart, not only because your just another customer. At least it feels that way. I had no dry case for my go pro, but no problem, they gave me theirs. Just gave it to me, helped me to use it, with wrist mount. So I could safe that experience on tape. The only thing they wanted was: don’t lose it ??.
And now let us talk about the dive instructor, Salim: 6 stars out of 5. A gentleman, a polite and good looking guy, coming from france, with marokkan roots, perfectly speaking english (so did the rest of the staff as well), absolute pro, best diving instructor I ever had, he helped my wife and me to go under water together. And it worked. That’s nothing self evident, because my wife suffered from deep fear of just putting her head under water. In the past, even snorkling was impossible. My wife herself decided to try scuba diving (I absolutely don’t know why, I recommended her, to put her head into a sink full of water first, expecting the worst case scenario: a panik attack, just before or while entering the water, but it was her desicion, her very own wish). With his sensitive and gentle behavior, Salim helped to make possible, what seemed to be impossible. My wife and I could do two long dives together up to 12 meters deep. I did a third one, emptied all 3 bottles. I’m a Open water diver, but the last dive was 23 years ago… Salim showed us the beauty of the under water world, turtles, scorpion fish, needle fish, clown fish, and endless more. Pure bliss. Meditation.
For sure we did not have to pay for the third dive my wife skipped, she was flashed and exhausted but happy.
There were only two other divers on the boat, they don’t overload that experience. We saw other boats the same size with 20 people and more on it.
I recommend that company, go for it, do it. Worth every single rupiah. Word. Tipp them hard. – via
