After some timely correspondence from Tom in advance of trip, chose package ‘A’ for 3 days of 2 tank dives. First up was afternoon ocean dive to Underwater Museum and Manchones Reef. 7 divers of mixed experience, with 2 instuctors in fairly shallow waters. Lots of marine life, including small shark. 2nd day was morning ocean dive to deeper reefs. Only 3 divers with one instructor. These drift dives were in deeper water and with strong current. Instructions and safety practices were excellent on dive. Beautiful coral, lots of exploring through nooks & crannies. Leopard rays, sea turtles and other marine life.
I rented all equipment which was in good condition, instruction by Salvador and Roberto respectively, was excellent…very personable and knowledgable. The boat & crew used both days were also very good…my only complaint would be the lack of a head on board.
Saved the best for last, the third day was a trip to Cenotes for Cavern dive. Everything was right on schedule, van ride from hotel was good, 4 other divers in total, so we dove in 2 groups with one instructor. This was an amazing dive in fresh water. The sights were spectacular. First dive Kukulcan had mix of visibility from poor to excellent. We were supplied lights and instruction was again excellent. Second dive Chac-Mool was unreal with crystal clear water, 250’ visibility and just some amazing sights with stalagmites, stalactites, halocline areas, surface lighting coming through. My personal best dive ever. The dive was recorded by professional photographer and the package was reasonable and the shots simply stunning. Instructor Chris was great, showed us everything to see, including surfacing in the air dome.
I will definitely be coming back. – via

I had an amazing experience at this place. My mom and I had been wanting to get our PADI for years, but she was very nervous. I started the course on my own, and when I saw how well they did it, I convinced her to come do it with me. We were happy with Professor Daniel and what a good teacher he is. She first talked to us and told us everything out of the water. Afterwards we practiced in the pool, to finally go to MUSA to dive and apply what we learned. We saw everything! The experience was spectacular. A few days later we did the other two dives and the exam. That same day they sent us our results and registered us with PADI, so that we would already have our certification.
Everything was incredible and I highly recommend SCUBA CANCUN. – via

Came from Canada and myself and partner booked to do the referral PADI course to finish our open water diving. Staff was all super nice and helpful. Big shout out to our instructor Daniel he was very easy to talk to and patient when going over skills and what to expect from both days. Would return to dive with this company again. The only reason I put 4 stars and not 5 was the boat was fuller then I expected so it was a little busier getting in and out of the water then I thought it would be, but still great experience overall. – via

My worst dive experience ever about two weeks ago. I burst an eardrum on this dive because I was bullied into descending faster than was safe.
The person at the equipment counter was patronizing and laughed at me when I wanted the weight I usually dive at. He initially refused to give me the weight I wanted because “I have other people to cater to”. It was only when I insisted that he gave me the correct weight.
The dive master was experienced but didn’t actually care about safety. Despite my telling him I had equalization issues, he said we had to descend fast or I would risk being left behind. He also insisted that we didn’t descend feet first but swim down headfirst – hardly advisable especially since we had a relatively new diver in the group. Despite my signalling desperately that something was wrong with my ears on the second dive he paid no attention. I ended up in the emergency room with a perforated eardrum. It could have been much worse – I could have lost consciousness underwater, but came away instead with nausea, some disorientation and a splitting headache.
There’s more: He broke off a reef, and yanked up seaweed twice that I saw.
I certainly don’t recommend this dive shop to anybody. I wish PADI would do safety checks and regular audits of dive shops they certify. – via

(Translated by Google) Excellent attention since we entered, very friendly, assign an instructor per group who will teach you from scratch what to do and what not to do in the water, a practical exam that will help you a lot, my instructor was Salvador and Israel, very kind and very attentive to you all the time, then we went to the muse and the two of them were very attentive to us at no time did they leave you alone and you were confident. If you like diving, this is your opportunity to do what you could do before you could only do it if you were certified.

– via

Was lucky to find a spot same day to dive. Dive masters were friendly. Price was reasonable. But the trip carries around 20 divers in 1 trip. New divers, certified, and none certified, advanced all go in together. Feels like going on a school trip under the water. Unorganized, somehow chaotic. I was lucky enough to find a wet suit to rent. Some other divers couldn’t! They had to dive with no suit! We had to wait in like like 15 minutes when we got to the land to hand our gear back to the shop so they can check on it, approve, and not charge you anything.. Why can’t the dive master check each one’s gear on board? One of my non-pleasurable diving to save us the hassle? One of my non pleasurable diving experiences.. – via

Please AVOID this place at all costs.
Extremely unprofessional, old boat, default equipment that CAN COST YOUR LIFE , dangerous and unprofessional staff that certainly will make you feel extremely UNSAFE.
I am a certified diver and I did drived around the world several times, and I must say this is THE WORSE company that I ever dived with. SAVE YOUR DOLLARS for some better dive company.
I’ ve chosen this PLACE because it was cheaper, and I’ve read the good comments online ( which is certainly not the reality) . After having defaulting equipment, an extremely rude guide that made me feel unsafe, i can guarantee first hand that diving hwre is not a good idea. During my divers, I could get injured and also died. Both of my regulators were damaged, and my guide couldn’t be bothered to helpe out.
I can guarantee these good comments you might read – THEY ARE NOT THE REALITY.
Also, think…. why is cheaper ???
If I could, I would not give even a star.
I did some research, and I’ve noticed that this company had some problems with the described issues above before, and that some divers actually died. You certainly don’t want to be going through this – JUST DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE HAND.

Absurdly bad. It’s my first time writing a negative review – actually, I’ll give them -5 stars.
Stupid front desk response. No responsibility for clients. No apologies. 10 days after the cancellation on their end, we still haven’t got our AOW course refund. No one replied. People kicked the ball. We’re back to US, cannot even get connected on phone.
If still don’t get responded with our money and appropriate apologies by the end of tomorrow, we’ll definitely call 911. It’s a deception. – via
