This is THE place to do a dive or snorkel in Bocas del Toros Islands. Not only is Isla Bastimentos a beautiful little island (a step back in time) but this wonderful dive center run by Michel and Ginette IS part of the community. Not only do they give an amazing education on the fish, coral and sponges of the area but they were wonderful about telling us all about the island and where to swim, eat, and locals to use for transportation. Ginette is a marine biologist and the whole staff is very knowledgeable about they way they handle this lovely Eco Diving Center. Great prices for snorkeling tours and diving. We highly recommend! – via google

This shop is run by a semi-retired French Canadian couple that do not seem retired at all! She gave us one of the most thorough pre-dive briefings I’ve ever had, and he was supervising a DMT conducting a DSD. Our dive guide was a local from basti, super sweet guy. We explored a sunken catamaran, a sunken sailboat, and lots of extremely colorful Reef. The dive sites aren’t particularly deep, so we had extremely long bottom times on both dives. Over 80 minutes! Water temperature was great, not too much bleaching; a great day of diving. Recommend. – via google

Could not have picked a better Dive Center and Teacher than Michel Lavoie, the owner and Dive Master of Scuba 6 to complete my PADI Certification. He was patient and very knowledgeable going through all the steps with me over two days. He also shared simpler methods for handling different things while in the water. He took his time taking me through my certification ensuring that I also understood what and why I was doing different steps. Nothing rushed.
His partner, Ginette Bariteau, was a wealth of information concerning water ecology, fish, coral, sponges and other parts of the water environment around the islands. She shares a lot of information prepping you about what you may see prior to your dive and is available to answer questions after the dive about anything you see. They are very experienced divers and very knowledgeable about the waters around all the islands in Bocas Del Toro. We never felt rushed during our dives.
Their dive center is located right in Tio Tom Hostel on the water. Extremely convenient to roll right out of bed a few steps to the dive center. – via google
