We had a fantastic experience at Sandals Grenada this past week. The resort was beautiful. The people in Grenada are the nicest people. They were so friendly and welcoming. I can’t say enough about how we were treated at this resort. We were greeted at the resort and escorted to the Club Lounge to wait for out butler. Everyone in the lounge was just wonderful. It amazed me how all of the employees just seemed to know your name and greeted us and stopped to see if we needed anything the entire week we were there. The service always exceeded our expectation’s. The staff offered us a drink and began to tell us about the resort. Within 5 minutes Wavel and Krystal were our butlers. Wavel was there to take us to our room the first day. Wavel made our vacation fantastic. I can’t say enough wonderful things abut him. I wish I could take him on all of our vacations. He already knew everything about us. He knew that I had a dairy allergy and was vegan, he knew our wine and food choices, and he had already made our dinner reservations for the week. We had champagne and a fruit plate waiting in our room. Wavel had thought of everything. He was amazing!! So very sweet and accommodating our every need. He escorted us to dinner every night and brought us breakfast in the mornings. Each day he had little unexpected surprises for us. He always brought us a snack to eat when we came in from the beach before dinner. One day we came back from the beach to a beautiful bath drawn in our outdoor tub with flowers in it and a bottle of chilled champagne and fruit. One night our bedroom was lit with candles and rose petals all over the room. It is was so beautiful. Every morning he got us a great spot
at the pool and beach and stocked our cooler with diet coke and water .He always checked on us throughout the day. He knew what we needed before we knew. He made us these amazing frozen drinks out by the pool. Wavel is the reason we booked again with Sandals for the next three years. He should train all the butlers. Krystal was also great. She was very sweet and accommodating. We had such a wonderful vacation. Thanks you Sandals for an amazing experience!! – via

Beware of the roaches & ants. I get it’s a tropical place… but we had 2 clusters of mini ants on the ceiling. And MANY massive roaches. We didn’t see them in the room until day 3. I had to get maintenance to exterminate them. I left open a nectar drink from a can, and when I went to pour it out 2 roaches came out. Along with ones running across the floor , hiding under our suitcase. Management wouldn’t change our room. I got no sleep, being scared of them. Then I started seeing more the next day & cried to the manager to please change our room or let me sleep in some car because it’s disgusting. They finally changed our room the last night and gave us like 200$ to use towards a future trip which we won’t. Why wouldn’t they just switch our rooms when I first complained. Why did it take me crying?
I went here for my 30th birthday w/ my fiance. We saved up for a long time to be able to go to *sandals*. & sadly we would never return. Grenada the island is very pretty & highly suggest tours & excursions. If you don’t hire a butler, it’s like you’re 2nd class. They say no tipping yet we waited at the bar for 10mins, nobody served us. They were only serving the customers there that were tipping. They got my birthday wrong and set up the “happy birthday” in the room 2 days late. Our shower also leaked and would form a little river in the bathroom towards the front door which I slipped on. The resort is also quite small so expect to see the same ppl often.
I would rather stay at excellence resorts instead. – via

Beds are reserved by 6am by butlers. Very few available.
Butlers reserved tables at prime times. We were not allowed to book all restaurants. We ended up getting really early to eat at 730 then eve meal at 630. To avoid waiting in queues when butlers n guests walk past you. Numerous complaints.
Diving free but unmentioned was $20 hire for wet suits.
Plus if you have asthma on stations etc need a Dr’s certificate. Not mentioned in booking. Hotel claim it’s a padi issue. But if Sandals pay them and advertise free diving. Then they should say Dr’s cert. Was needed – via

We visited for our honeymoon and loved everything about this resort. This was our first sandals experience and we have already booked a trip back (in a rondoval again) for our 1 year anniversary next year. Our butlers Leanna, Don, and Chris were the BEST! I could go on and on about all the amazing things the 3 Butlers did for us and how much we enjoyed talking to them. They booked our dinner reservations for us, got us seats at the beach or pool, surprised us with many awesome things (including a romantic bath, cocktails, candles and champagne set up by the pool, cute towel animal decorations, lunch floating in the pool, and much more). Beyond all the assistance they provided, the 3 of them are awesome people, and we have requested to have them as our butlers on our trip down next year. The butler rooms are definitely worth it.
The food was delicious as well. Our favorite restaurant was the hibachi restaurant, but everywhere we ate was good. Of course the drinks were all great as well- we really liked the bartenders Mario and Javon at the party pool. We also attended the nightly activities almost every night- the singers, violinist, and dj were all so fun.
We bought pictures at the end of our trip. All the photographers were super nice. Sheldon did our private photo shoot, and he was amazing.
We like that the resort is so close to the airport, and that it has tennis courts and water sports. The snorkeling trip was a lot of fun and the staff at the aqua center were extremely friendly. We did an excursion to a waterfall hike, and really enjoyed it.
We are so glad we picked this location for our honeymoon, and loved meeting other couples who were on their honeymoon. – via

A very compact and enjoyable resort. Even worse than Jamaica South Coast, this resort suffers from the Butleritis disease. Butler #16 .. total class buddy reserving the crapper for your guest.
Butlers reserve 2 shade, 2 sun and 2 beach chairs for their 1 guest and 4 of the chairs don’t get used at all. Sure you can take the chairs after 11AM but the Butlers always leave a personal item to prevent it. Essentially unless you have a Butler, you’re a second class citizen here. – via

After a lot of research on the different Sandals resorts, we decided to book the Grande St. Lucian and we couldn’t be happier! It truly felt like a luxury vacation, with amazing service and hospitality. The rooms were clean and beautiful, the food was delicious and had great variety, and best of all the views were AMAZING! The water was clear and the mountains were lovely. There was so much to do – water activities, pool volleyball, trivia, and nightly entertainment. The excursion we went on was an awesome time as well. The bartenders truly made our stay – Remy, Kevin and Peter were so warm and you could tell they truly loved their jobs. This was definitely a lively resort that had the perfect mix of fun and private romance. We will be back!!! – via
