I did a refresher and two dives with Sand Dollar Sports. The diving instructors were super helpful and explained everything about diving, fishes, landscapes. I rent full equipments, which were neat decent.
Cozumel diving spots were so beautiful. No one can get disappointed. I definitely recommend here to dive. – via

Dove recently via a Disney cruise. Overall good experience, with good diving and good DMs/crew. Dive equipment was pretty rough though, and while functional, more than one person had leaky low pressure hoses, and makes you wonder what the service interval is for their gear. Bring your own if you can. – via

The snuba adventure was absolutely amazing and something everyone should try and experience! We recently went there on a cruise excursion and my teen girls said it was the best part of their vacation! Alfredo was our guide and would absolutely recommend you ask for him as he was kind, patient, caring, extremely knowledgeable, and amazing to work with! A bucket list item! – via

Our family visit to Sandollar Sports in Cozumel, Mexico, was an experience we’ll cherish forever, especially for our 8-year-old daughter, who was introduced to diving for the first time. The professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm of the staff at Sandollar Sports made her first dive not just safe but truly magical.
From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well-informed. Their expertise and dedication to safety were evident, providing us with peace of mind as our daughter embarked on her first underwater adventure. The instructors were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive, making sure she had a memorable and enjoyable experience.
After our diving session, we visited the bar located above Sandollar Sports, where we were greeted with delicious food and a warm atmosphere. The quality of the meals surpassed our expectations, and the prices were remarkably reasonable, adding to the overall satisfaction of our day.
Moreover, the value offered by Sandollar Sports is unparalleled on the island. The combination of expert diving instruction, top-notch equipment, and the delightful dining experience makes it the best deal in Cozumel for families and individuals looking to explore the beauty of the ocean.
In conclusion, Sandollar Sports is a gem in Cozumel for anyone interested in diving, regardless of their experience level. The friendly and professional staff, coupled with the great food and unbeatable prices, ensure a fantastic experience. It’s the perfect place to create lasting memories, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island. – via

We did the Snuba diving last week as an excursion with our cruise. Dede was our guide and was absolutely amazing. All 4 of us was going for our first time. The boys did great, and even my husband did though he couldn’t see at all being blind. I however kept having panic attacks. Dede kept me calm and helped me relax to be able to go under the water without freaking out. After I finally was ok he had me hold a rope that was attached to him until I felt comfortable to let go. I eventually did. He showed us so many different fish, a stingray that was hiding and we even got to hold a sea urchin! I definitely am thankful to his experience and kindness. If you are thinking of going do it and ask for Dede! – via

Our scuba instructor, Ivan, was friendly, hilarious, and extremely professional. He knew how to help me with any difficulties I had under water. The entire team had great energy & made everyone feel comfortable at all skill-levels. We went for a second dive one-on-one and it was spectacular. Thanks, Ivan!! ?????? – via

I went SNUBA-ing with Didi as a shore excursion on the Royal Carribean ship, Jewel of the Seas. Didi was GREAT!!
I was kind of nervous and it took me some time to get my breathing together and he checked on me regularly. He gave me further instructions, told me to relax and just swim near the surface. He didn’t push or rush me. By the end, I was feeling much more confident with the breathing!
All of the guys were just great. From the training to the equipment, they were so cool!!
If you are looking for a beginning scuba/snorkeling adventure, try SNUBA-ing with Didi and the guys! They will make you feel as safe and comfortable as they can!
I would definitely do it again and I’m even going to try to find some scuba classes near me! I’m hooked!! 😉 – via

I can’t believe how many good reviews this place has. It might be due to the fact that I have delt with a lot of dive shops before and for most people, this is their first introduction to either scuba or snuba diving. This is for sure my worst experience diving. The reason they don’t get 1 star is because the staff is nice. I will give them that. I couldn’t give them more than 2 for the following reasons.
1. I have over 100 dives. This was the first place I have been where we get 7.2 liter tanks as oppose to 11.1 liter tanks.
2. When we booked, it said we would be diving for 30 minutes. I figured this meant at least 30 minutes. Our bottom time was 22 minutes.
3. There isn’t much to see down there. I figured there would be a nice reef or nice sculptures similar to what they have in MUSA. Nope!! They advertised their Jacques Cousteau sculpture because that is the most interesting thing you will see down there.
4. I feel like the company motto is lets get as many people in and out of the water as fast as possible to increase sales. While we were there, there were always people getting the Discover Scuba training, fitting for equipment, and diving all at the same time. Everything was so fast and efficient, not in a good way. It seems like their biggest concern is quantity of sales over quality of service offered.
I booked this excursion because my wife was curious about diving. I didn’t think this was a good first introduction to scuba diving for her. I asked her to give it a second try in a different place. – via

Did an excursion with Carnival cruise. Met at the dock and given instructions of where to find the water taxi right from the pier. It was a short ride to Sunset Beach. Facility is set up for divers, snuba, and snorkeling. I did a Discover Dive (beginner) right from the shore and it was great. Most divers in our group had snorkeled or done a discover dive before. You must be able to follow a few sets of instructions and not panic while in the water. The instructors and facility is first class. Again, I enjoyed be able to dive right from the shore.
