We only really intended to do one day of diving. It ended up not being very good. Not because of anything with the diver shop or the instructors. It was the visibility. We went out to the Catalinas and the visibility was extremely poor. We had such a great experience otherwise that we decided to book some local dives a few days later. We are glad we did.
We had some great local dives that left us in complete awe. The sights were incredible, we got to see some really cool sea life like a seahorse, dozens of rays, sharks, etc. We loved it so much that we booked another dive for the next day. This time was very similar to the day before. Loved the shop, loved the instructors, and when we come back I’ll be sure to book through Rocket Frog. – via

Puffer fish, popcorn, puppies, pineapples & pilsner! Just FANTASTIC all around! Our group of 4 did it all. We had one certified diver needing a refresher, 2 that wanted to get certified and 1 that was a happy snorkeler. Michael (owner) got us all set up and was SO patient with us changing our plans multiple times. Charlie was our scuba instructor and he was 100% top notch. He explained everything so well making sure each of us was totally comfortable with every step before we proceeded. He was always focused on safety and also on our comfort, understanding, etc. The shop and boat were super clean and all the staff were helpful and professional. Everything was run smoothly and on time. Even more, they offered delicious fresh pineapple and cookies on each boat trip and then fresh popcorn and Rocket Frog branded beer back at the shop each day….AND they had a puppy to play with and hammocks to chill in…..would give them 10 stars if we could! – via

Rocket Frog is such a phenomenal dive company. You cannot go wrong with them. They go above and beyond to make you feel safe while having a great time they also pay attention to detail whether it’s checking your gear three times over or spotting out tiny aquatic life like seahorses that other people would miss. My Favorite Dive! I felt very safe, staff helped me with everything including taking my gear to the boat and setting up for me, they provided us with water, snacks and fresh pineapple on the boat. At the end of the dive they gave me free beer and snacks! 11/10. The guide showed us sharks, rays, eels! – via

Best dive shop we have dived with in 12 years of trips. Beginning with owner Michael the professionalism and caring flow throughout this amazing team. We were lucky to have Ellen, Martin, and Ethan dive with us on the first day at Bat Island where a giant Pacific Manta emerged from the depths and blew us away. The next 3 days we did 3-tank dives on Nitrox with Luis as our guide and as course instructor for one of us He integrated the two tasks seamlessly, all while making us laugh and teaching us about this unique underwater environment. He made our week so special. This is a full service shop. All we had to do was check our gear and air and focus on the diving. Also Francisco and Danilo were awesome captains and made things smooth amidst the chop.
We can’t wait to return. They even have their own brand of beer (it’s delicious! to savor with fresh popcorn at the shop after the dive.

Amazing Diving School!
We did the padi open water course in 3 days. Our catalan instructor Bernard was just the best you could expect. Extremly passioned, precise and funny. He took time to explain everything in detail, gave us time to make question and most important of all, he made it really fun.

Probably the best dive shop to experience the incredible diving Costa Rica has to offer. My instructor Rama was extremely knowledgable, patient, and spoke amazing English. The equipment was excellent and all the staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do more the help you. The boat trips include bottled water, fresh fruit and snacks, which just makes those long dive trips that much more comfortable. They also offer shuttle runs to and from the dive shop/beach which makes doing a course or multiple dives with them extremely convenient.
Could not recommend this place highly enough. Anyone who finds themselves in Costa Rica needs to experience the amazing marine wildlife on offer, and diving is the best way to do that. – via
