Joined the boat for a day on a diving trip. 2 dives own equipment. Accompanied by a few non-divers.
Boat is solid, the briefing standards also fit. Everything needed (and a bit more) was explained on the usual whiteboard. The rental equipment seemed solid, the usual material in Ägy. There is also a compressor on board, i.e. if a bottle is below 200 bar, you can refill it. This is often not the case with others. A few 15 bottles were on board, Nitrox had to be ordered in advance.
The crew is fun and stress free. An OWD couple in training got their own guide, otherwise the group was of course mixed from OWD to DM and MD, everything was there.
Under water – I had a Sony RX200Va camera with flashes and co – the guides made every effort to show things. From turtles, which you can hardly miss anyway, to fish that are somewhat hidden, to nudibranchs, so that was really attentive.
The crew also has a similar camera with them and takes photos, which they are happy to sell, but that also happens without pressure, if you refuse, they take it easy.
The food was adequate for a dive boat. You shouldn’t expect a hotel buffet, but it was sufficient and good. I can’t say whether they had anything on board apart from soft drinks, it didn’t come up. It’s a dive boat, not a party can with loud music and drinks.
All in all I found the day really good, the price was very reasonable and if you are a diver looking for a change from the hotel with non-diving people, this is definitely a good idea. I can recommend it and would also like to be on the road with the crew again at any time.

War auf einem Tauchtrip am Boot für einen Tag dabei. 2 TG. Eigenes Equipment. Begleitet von ein paar Nicht-Tauchern.
Boot ist solide, die Briefingstandards passen auch. Auf dem üblichen Whiteboard wurde alles nötige (und etwas mehr) erklärt. Das Leih-Equipment wirkte solide, das in Ägy übliche Material. Mit an Bord ist ein Kompressor, d.h. wenn eine Flasche mal unter 200bar hat, kann man die nachfüllen. Das ist bei anderen oft nicht der Fall. Ein paar 15er Flaschen waren an Bord, Nitrox muss man vorher bestellen.
Die Crew hat Spaß und ist stressfrei. Ein OWD-Paar in Ausbildung bekam einen eigenen Guide, ansonsten war die Gruppe natürlich durchmischt von OWD bis zu DM und MD war alles dabei.
Unter Wasser – ich hatte eine Sony RX200Va Kamera mit Blitzen und co dabei – gaben sich die Guides alle Mühe, Dinge zu zeigen. Von Schildkröten, die man eh kaum übersehen kann über etwas versteckt liegende Fische bis hin zu Nacktschnecken, also das war schon echt aufmerksam.
Die Crew hat selbst auch eine ähnliche Kamera dabei und macht Fotos, die sie dann gerne verkaufen, aber auch das läuft ohne Druck ab, wenn man ablehnt wird das locker genommen.
Das Essen war adäquat für ein Tauchboot. Man darf da kein Hotelbuffet erwarten aber es war ausreichend und gut. Ob sie außer Softdrinks was an Bord hatten, kann ich nicht sagen, das kam nicht auf. Es ist ein Tauchboot, keine Partybüchse mit lauter Musik und Drinks.
Alles in allem fand ich den Tag richtig gut, der Preis war voll angemessen und wenn man als Taucher mit nicht-tauchenden Menschen Abwechslung vom Hotel sucht, ist das definitiv eine gute Idee. Kann ich weiter empfehlen und würde auch jederzeit wieder mit der Crew unterwegs sein wollen. – via
