We had an amazing day!
All the crew were great especially Kevin. I was nervous as it was my first time snorkelling and I wouldn’t be the most confident swimmer so I was staying close to the boat where Kevin brought me along the reef until I gained a bit of confidence. I wouldn’t have seen any of the amazing things I saw only for him taking the time to help me.
Felt very safe with all the crew keeping an eye on everyone. – via

Amazing day exploring the outer reef! You get to go to 3 beautiful sites & explore the beauty of the healthy, colourful and glamorous Great Barrier Reef! I did a return trip on the Poseidon bc the crew are always smiling, friendly & professional! The crew are thorough, knowledgeable & prep everyone on board about the dive/snorkel sites. The crew all happily share their knowledge of the site – what coral or big clams to look out for & the types of sea life that typically can be seen.
Nathan on the servery bar is knowledgeable with food if you have special dietary requirements. The food is plentiful and well catered with local produce of prawns, variety of fresh fruits, many salads & the delicious chicken!
The photographer onboard Pang is very accomodating & manages to get around to photographing all the snorkelers & divers & nails those winning shots for your souvenir of the trip! You can also rent cameras and GoPros to capture your own memories.
The lifeguard Finn is lovely & helpful & always on watch so you are always in safe hands!
Facilities are well maintained and clean.
I cannot fault any of the staff!
My beautiful beginner dive instructor Daan was such a happy chap! His calm nature and professionalism really helped me with my trepidation of diving. His beaming love of diving convinced me, & I returned & got certified as a diver!
This amazing experience with such a vibrant crew & lovely company, means I will always go on the Poseidon now for my recreational snorkels and dives! The captains are also accomodating to Drone photography as long as there are no helicopter flights nearby. There are so many reef sites to visit & the captain will pick according to the conditions so visibility is always guaranteed to be great! & most importantly, going on the Poseidon means it’s not overwhelmingly crowded so you get your space to explore! – via

My wife and I did 8 dives with this company (most of these were with TJ as our dive guide) and we are very pleased with the professionalism and overall organization. New, fast boats, friendly, knowledgeable people, good guests-to-guide ratio, the list goes on. Grand Cayman dive sites are amazing and these guys know them inside out. If (or rather when) we are back to Grand Cayman, we will certainly dive with CTD again. – via

Professional photographer took a photo of our family before we boarded. Most photographers say “smile” or “one, two, three” or some other warning before taking a photo. Not this guy. Upon viewing the photo we decided we couldn’t purchase it. No lasting memory here.
The trip our to the reef was long (1.5 hours), it was windy and we bought the sea sickness tablets onboard and took it prior to sailing. I was still feeling sick. I was told to sit on the lower deck at the back of the boat, where I would feel better, only to be told by another staff member that I need to go upstairs where all the snorkellers were. Getting upstairs was a struggle because of the stormy conditions and I managed to sit down inside the skipper’s cabin next to my husband. I was just in time to grab a sick bag. I was then verbally abused by the skipper, yelling for me to get out of the cabin because I was feeling sick. He showed no respect. Seemed I paid a lot of money to get sick during the trip plus some verbal abuse. I suggest if you feel sick, stay clear of the skipper.
Photographer did not take any pictures of us as a family while we were in the water or even out of the water. We decided to hire an underwater camera and ended up with lovely blurry underwater pictures. Photographer also promised some extra pictures from his own collection would be copied onto our photo CD. That didn’t happen either.
I have to compliment the rest of the staff who were friendly and supplied us with sufficient refreshments and a lovely lunch. Hopefully we will have better weather, friendlier skipper and a more eager photographer the next time we go to the reef. – via

I normally never write reviews but I have to share this. I would not recommend this to anyone. The diving sites where poor and also safety wise I would not recommend it. The diving guide Yukito left me alone to go up to the boat 3 times after I ran out of air!! He didn’t want to take the group to go up with me since I was the first one to run out of air – he figured I can deal with it on my own (I’m an open water diver). The bad thing was: I didn’t have the right equipment for a proper 3-minute safety stop and when ascending I was on my own in the open sea with a current.
Luckily, they do have a very good emergency lady on board and when she saw me struggling in the open sea, she came to get me. I understand that you want to make it a nice tour for everyone but leaving a diver on its own in the open sea is unacceptable. I hope no one has to experience that again. – via

**BUYER BEWARE** The crew aboard the Quicksilver/Poseidon vessel were very disorganized with poor reef choices. We took a dive trip with Poseidon this past week and had a terrible experience. My partner and I, two newly certified divers, had a poor site briefing by our dive master which took us into deep current that caused our whole group to become dispersed and without instruction. This took 30 of our 45 minute dive to reorganize and continue the dive. I’ve also never seen such poor customer service along with such a clingy group of workers that happen to ignore the patrons once their job is done for the day. This is followed up by them waving goodbye expecting handsome tips. (Why are you feeding sharks for a “show”) – I would NEVER book with this company going forward. – via

Dont hesitate! This trip is amazing if you like se underwater ecosystems. The crew is truly incredible, and very passionate about there work. I got to experience snorkeling on the words biggest reef system. You can choose between snorkeling or scuba diving on the trip. We had a guided snorkeling tour at the end of the trip, that was very interesting. Bring sunblock!!! And by the seasickness pill if its wavy. – via
