Checked in on 3/18/24. We have 3 rooms for a girls trip. Arrived at 4:00 PM. Our rooms were not ready until 8:10. We were not the only ones who did not have a room until late. The lobby was filled with people who could not check into their rooms. NO comp for drinks or dinner while we waited. On the second night we had a knock on the door, housekeeping wanted to know if we needed service. The resort did waive the resort fee, which was not even included in the reservation.
They said they were short of staff. – via google

Nous avons réservé une nuit dans cette hôtel une chambre familiale avec vue sur la rivière.
La chambre devait être disponible à partir de 16h00.
Nous sommes arrivée vers 16h30 pour prendre notre chambre, le réceptionniste nous informe que notre chambre n’est pas prête et que nous devons attendre que la femme de ménage ai terminé.
Après plus de 3 heures d’attente nous n’avons pas eu notre chambre mais une chambre vue sur le parking totalement miteuse, très sale, odeur nauséabonds, moisi au plafond et mur et très humide.
Pour l’attente de plus de 3 heures le réceptionniste nous à offert les petits déjeuners avec mon plus grand regret, franchement pas bon !!!
Nous avons demandé le remboursement de notre chambre et cette fois une réceptionniste au lieu de remboursé nous a débité une deuxième fois?!! totalement incompétente !!
Je vous déconseille cette hôtel d’un service déplorable et totalement miteux!! – via google

Wife spent a ton of $$ to give me a special Birthday experience. The Plantation was a huge disappointment. No doubt it was a gem…maybe forty years ago. Our water view was hard to appreciate due to old windows that lost their seal and were totally filled with moisture. Being pet-friendly, the inside of the door was all scratched and chewed up. The coffee maker was missing the top of the water tank. The King Bed was newer and very comfy, but the four miniature pillows were not nearly enough. Kudos to housekeeping as the room was nice and clean.
As for the in-house restaurant, my $14 omelette was yummy but came with cold, way overcooked, inedible hash browns, but NO toast. Having toast with your omelette was an upcharge!
But the absolute worst part was dealing with the front desk! Check-in was supposed to be 4pm. We arrived at 4:20 but couldn’t get into our room until after 5. That room was at the very far end of the complex and after hauling our luggage upstairs our key cards would not work. My wife stood in the hallway while I trudged all the way back to the front desk. 15 minutes later I put the new key card into the door and…..nothing! We finally got one that worked. But on the third card they forgot we were staying two days. So the next day when we returned from lunch we were locked out again.
Expectations were so high, but the actual experience was a total letdown! – via google

I wld NOT stay here. I can’t believe what I paid + $45 per day resort fee for amenities that were sub-par.
Room was old, dirty and needed a major renovation. The drain plugs for both the sink and tub were missing. (Where roaches come in) The baseboards were filthy. The bath tub faucet wld not shut off and had a constant drip that wld not stop—drove me crazy all night long
Had a mobile dehumidifier in room that was not emptied. (Roach magnet)
I sat in chair and i sank to the floor.
Thr bed was comfortable. Pillows were cheap. Linens were clean.
What $45 per day for resort fee bought you: People brought their dogs to the pool area. Guys smoking cigars and drinking in the pool
Kid screaming while parents drank in pool.

I truly felt like I was in a trailer park community.
Golf course had a tornado hit in October 2023. Pro shop is demolished along with several buildings around it. (Don’t know why they haven’t started renovation yet.) No water available before hole 1. Just pathetic.
I’m sorry but my experience was just awful. I felt that a truck stop hotel was in better shape than I experienced.
I went on a manatee kayak adventure and the waters were so murky from last years hurricane you could not see them. In 2 hours I saw 2 manatee—nothing like the advertisement
This property has potential…but needs a lot of money to renovate.
Last part…..couple across the hall screaming. I opened the door to ask if everything is ok. They said they saw roaches in their room.
Needless to say I’d rather sleep in my car!
My camping tent is cleaner and bug free!

Good service, great location, rooms could be a bit better. The place needs painting really bad, the Restaurant was pretty decent a bit pricy, I had a great steak but $50 for the plate was really expensive giving the place. Over all 3 stars. HOW THE HECK is the elevator not working and the why havent they replace the carpets in some hallways smelled musty. – via google

I wish I could give more than five stars to the banquet team! Starla and Adrienne were fantastic to work with, very responsive and gracious. They were able to accomodate us last minute and every request was handled efficiently! We had excellent help the morning of, Anthony was readily available and both team members were on point. The only negative I have about my entire stay is that service in the restaurant was comically bad, and the food was just ‘okay’. Overall I would absoluely bring another event back to this resort if they will have us! – via google

Nice place to stay! Excellent location to paddle to see the manatees in Kings Bay. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the outdoor washer and dryer. I don’t like to leave my clothes unattended, but it was cold at night. – via google

Nice Marina View – but needs TLC

In the first room there was an air conditioner “installed” – through the window, with cardboard and tape. The conditioner wasn´t even in use as it was broken. We changed rooms, yet the next room smelled very moldy and it was kind of hard to breath, the walls were chipped pretty hard, the curtains had stains and the lamps a lot of dust. The night was not good at all – the fridge was so loud, just like the ventilation system, we even heard every flushing and moaning and telephone call from the guy next door, every movement on the floor – hard to get a shut-eye. Both rooms were on the first floor. We asked to switch rooms again the next day and got one on the ground floor. That one was quite nice, the fridge not too loud, only the ventilation system was still loud. The rooms and bathrooms themselves were clean, for example sheets and towels. Also the staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. – via google
