Tanya at the reception desk was extremely rude. She made several snide comments. Then berated a new employee in front of everyone. The coral reef was like a graveyard, bleached bones and very few fish. Portuguese man of war were everywhere. Their sting can be fatal. – via

We went out at 8:30 for an eco tour with Bobby. He was very nice, knowledgeable and helped us see dolphins. The boat ride was great and got to learn a lot about some of the birds, nature, and the area. It was fun that it was just us on the tour! – via

Loved our sunset cruise ! It was perfect saw a few manatees sleeping. I definitely suggest you spray down with bug spray. I got ate up so badly but it was worth it!! – via

John gave us an amazing day at the reef today!!! Crystal clear water, so much variety of marine life. We saw dolphins, sea turtles, barracuda and too Amy variety of fish to count!!! – via

They couldn’t take me out because their boat was getting worked on, but Suzi rebooked me through another outfit at no additional cost and still provided me with their guide, Hadriam, who did a fantastic job. Even in less than ideal seas, Hadriam was able to help me meet a few sea turtles and a nurse shark. I can’t say much about their full tour experience, but the staff are super friendly and helpful! Will probably come back and dive with them again once they get their boats up and running! – via

Captain Pete and his first mate, Hadriam, were absolutely great! We went on a 4h snorkeling expedition to one of the coral reefs in the Keys and we would go back again and again if we could! Really fun (we laughed all the way), and really safe as well (their instructions for were to swim, what to see, how to avoid the currents, etc were super clear: they know their stuff!!). Amazing job guys! If we come back to the Keys one day, we’ll sure come back to Pirates Cove Watersports! – via

We chose Horizon based on their reviews when planning our open water certification from Michigan, and we were not disappointed! From booking, e-learning, to the in person courses, horizon made the process easy and comfortable. Dan was great talking me through the booking process.

Simply put, Pirates Cove is an amazing company managed by even more amazing people. I have been visiting them since 2000 and just this weekend have completed my PADI Divemaster certification. This is my third professional certification that I have worked with them to obtain and each course has been taught in a highly professional manner and standard. It really is impressive their attention to detail, focus on safety and flexibility in scheduling truly does make all the difference in where I choose to spend my money. Yes, SCUBA diving is an expensive hobby/sport but Pirates Cove always ensures that each $$ is spent providing incredible results of the the completion of a class, an awesome dive on the reef or just browsing their shops. I really do enjoy the whole staff, especially Suzi, Caiti, Hadriam, Mike, Krissy, Kelly, Pete and Sarah. I cannot wait to come back and dive with you again!!!! – via

I highly recommend going snorkeling with Hadrian and Brandon. Both were very attentive, informative and entertaining. We were warned of rough waters prior to departure and given the option of refund or rescheduling if we weren’t comfortable. We chose to go and it was a great decision. They brought us to the most ideal locations. We were also able to see the Abyss of Christ as well as snorkel in 2 other locations. The fish were beautiful. They watched us the entire time and made sure we felt safe. It was a fabulous day. – via

Excellent snorkelling trip with Pirates Cove Watersports. We visited Christ of the Abyss and another nearby reef. Our guides and shop staff were informative and pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Rental equipment was all in excellent condition, the reservation process (including having to cancel, then rebooking, then rebooking again due to travel issues) was easy and efficient. The reefs were so healthy and teeming with fish, beautiful, healthy stands of coral and we even saw Spotted Eagle Rays! Overall EXCELLENT experience and we can’t wait to go out with them again!! – via
