We stumbled upon this dive center by pure chance, which to our surprise was French-speaking. We took our open water course with Lea. Lea is EXCEPTIONAL!!! Not only is she patient and she explains well, but she managed to calm my greatest anxieties. So much that we went back to do two more dives with them. The sites were WOW! Shark, turtle, rays, barracuda and every fish imaginable.

Nous sommes tombé par pur hasard sur ce centre de plongée qui a notre belle surprise était francophone. Nous avons suivi notre cours open water avec Lea. Lea est EXCEPTIONNELLE!!! Non seulement elle est patiente et elle explique bien, mais elle a réussi à calmer mes plus grandes angoisses. Tellement que nous sommes retournés faire deux autres plongées avec eux. Les sites étaient WOW! Requin, tortue, raies, barracudas et tous les poissons imaginables.

The all French staff made it clear that any non-French speaking diver is a burden and annoying. Since the guests were mainly French, only French was spoken on the boat. Some of the remaining divers didn’t know who was taking what where. Everything had to be asked and was insufficiently explained.
The equipment is ok. There are only 3mm suits. No shoes. Gloves must not be put on.
Everything was just too tightly timed for me and that put a lot of pressure on me. That spoiled my dive a bit.

Im Detail: Leider war ich sehr enttäuscht. Obwohl ich merfach nach der Check in Zeit gefragt habe, war diese nicht ausreichend um die Formulare auszufüllen und das Equipment anzuprobieren. Die wollten tatsächlich, dass ich das Equipment gar nicht anprobiere. Dadurch entstand ein totaler Stress! Sowohl das Briefing als auch die Informationen im Vorfeld waren unzureichend. Der nur aus Franzosen bestehende Staff hat deutlich gemacht, dass jeder nicht-französisch-sprechende Taucher eine Last und nervend ist. Da die Gäste hauptsächlich Franzosen waren, wurde auf dem Boot nur noch französisch gesprochen. Die restlichen TaucherInnen wussten teilweise nicht, wer jetzt was wohin bringt. Alles musste nachgefragt werden und wurde unzureichend erklärt.
Das Equipment ist ok. Es gibt nur 3mm Anzüge. Keine Schuhe. Handschuhe dürfen nicht angezogen werden.
Für mich war es einfach alles zu knapp getimt und dadurch wurde ein enormer Druck gemacht. Das hat mir den Tauchgang schon etwas vermiest. – via

En effet Playa est un endroit attirant de nombreux plongeurs, et pour cause… Les fonds marins sont fantastiques, et les cenotes : des plongées juste magiques. Les guides sont super sympa (nous avons fait 11 plongées avec 4 guides différents et tous adorables).
