5.0/ 5

The main island and the Fiji Islands are not comparable. But the magic of the Fijian culture was particularly strong in Paradise Cove. We (my wife and my 6 year old son) were allowed to spend 5 days on Paradise Cove and we enjoyed every day. On arrival, the staff stood on the beach, leaving everything behind, singing and greeting us with a loud “Bula”. Pure goose bumps.
We had a normal room with an outside shower. Everything was well looked after, nothing was missing.
There was an extensive, varied programme every day and the mountain hike with Watson was particularly noteworthy. He looked after us really well and told us a lot about Fiji culture and life in the village. When we were getting tired, he picked some coconuts for us. It couldn’t have been fresher!
Snorkelling is a dream in Fiji. We enjoyed the house reef but also the boat snorkelling. Guests who dived with the staff (PADI base) raved about the animals (turtles, sharks etc). They had never seen anything like it before.
We were well catered for from morning to night. Especially in the evening with a 5-course menu accompanied by the staff who sang/played the guitar live. Incredibly beautiful. After the meal we enjoyed sitting down for a kava.
All the staff were incredibly friendly. My son was greeted by name by everyone on the 2nd day. Fantastic and we would love to come back!
It should be mentioned that some areas of Paradise Cove are currently being renovated, so future guests can look forward to even better quality. – via google

4.0/ 5

Our family spent three nights at Paradise Cove in November, following stays in Nadi and another Yasawa resort. While the accommodation, food, and beachside snorkeling surpassed our previous resort experiences, we found the overall ambiance at Paradise Cove somewhat underwhelming. Unlike our prior stay where the staff knew us by name and treated us like family, here, even after three days, we felt somewhat like intruders.

Although I wouldn’t categorize the staff as rude, many appeared overworked and jaded. Meal times became a gamble, with frazzled staff occasionally forgetting or making mistakes with our orders. The limited dining options, restricted to multi-course meals at Black Rock and Donu during dinner, prolonged our dining experiences to over 90 minutes each night.

One notable concern was a boat anchor made of several long metal rods left on the beach near the dive shop. Its presence posed a serious tripping and safety hazard, especially in the dark. Despite reporting it to the office on the first night and being assured they would take care of it, no action was taken, raising concerns about potential accidents.

In summary, we appreciated our clean and comfortable garden villa, the fantastic beachside snorkeling, and the high-quality food. However, several aspects of our stay left room for improvement, particularly considering the price tag associated with Paradise Cove. – via google
