(Translated by Google) The Ordino-Arcalís ski resort, also affectionately known as “Arcalaska” is an Andorran resort in the Pyrenees. Personally, it is one of my three favorite Pyrenean resorts and my number one resort in Andorra.

From Arcalís I would highlight above all the quality and quantity of snow, the alpine character of its surroundings and the tranquility of its slopes (especially in the afternoons).

It is a medium-sized station by Pyrenean standards, although it is quite varied in terms of landscapes and slopes, which helps to overcome the monotony of small ski domains.

The network of snow cannons is extensive and the slopes are impeccable, one of the best I’ve seen in the Pyrenees. All this, together with its generous height and good geographical orientations, allows the snow to be kept in optimal conditions for longer than other neighboring resorts.

The red Portella del Mig slope is one of the best slopes in the Pyrenees that I know, it is really cool and allows you to do the maximum unevenness in a single slope from the roof of the station to the base.
Alternatively, the (longer) journey can be made by another path following the blue and green paths.

Despite its fame as a freerider station, Arcalís is also a “family” station and very suitable for children and beginners. In fact, there are several areas dedicated to them, both at the base and in La Coma (for them there is access by cable car).

As negative points: Arcalís is far from everything and you have to drive for a long time. In addition, the day pass is somewhat expensive given the size of the domain.

All in all, I am a fan of Arcalís and only the distance prevents me from skiing there more often.

Good prints 😉

Buenas huellas 😉 – via google

For me this is one of the best ski resorts in Andorra. Lots of km available to ski, not very crowded and you even have one mini restaurant where you can eat in the highest part of the mountain with LOVELY views. – via google
