This is a revision of my first review of Odyssey Scuba. This is a great, if somewhat small, scuba shop. I was just getting to know the place at the time of my first review. Since that time, I have been more impressed. I have gotten to know the owner of it, Bob Hathaway. I have gotten to know some of the other staff, including Dave Burnau. Since my first review I have bought most of my equipment from Odyssey Scuba. I mentioned in my first review that I was just trying to get more active into diving. I had sold my equipment decades ago. So I basically bought everything new. Bob worked with me and gave me an excellent deal on primarily ScubaPro equipment. Very high quality stuff. I feel I got a very good price. Everything was set up for me. Much better experience than buying stuff piecemeal online. With the drysuit I purchased Bob threw in the training course. That was run by Dave Bernau. When I originally went for the one-on-one training, in the nearby Quail Run Dive Quarry I had the sniffles in the had trouble equalizing. That was no problem for Dave and we simply rescheduled. He was very kind and an excellent instructor. I purchased everything but a tank, and I just stopped by for a couple of rental tanks. Even though it is about a 45-minute drive from my home, I consider this place my go-to dive shop. Even though they are small, they have, or can get, everything you need, and and they are good and knowledgeable folks. – via
