Amazing place to stay!
The location was perfect, the rooms (dorm) was clean and well kept.
The food was incredible with a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.
There was lots of rain, but we swam in the pool and attended the many activities they had during the day and evening. when the beach wasn’t an option. – via google

Pretentious food, pretentious staff !
Never witnessed so unpleasant people in the Fijis… The behavior is the opposite of the Fijian mindset and culture.
Also, it was maintenance period so you get the hammer noise from 8 am till dawn non-stop… I understand that it has to be done, but without warning before booking and without compensation ?!
There are so many other nice places in the Yasawas for the same rate such as Waylailai, do not waste your time and money. – via google

Beautiful location, lovely staff always smiles and greeting Bula. Transport costs fair bit but worth the extra cost to go to Wasaya islands. If the flight is landing in the early morning, you can make it to the island around 10 am. Lots activities to join everyday. Some free some charged. Village visit/kava ceremony and church service visit were very unique experience. Movie under the star, weekend party night. Everyday morning and avro Yoga free to join. Went two days diving, more the 30 dive sites to discover and we only went to 4. Highly recommend to join the boat snorkelling (fee charged), to the gorgeous spot, we had our best snorkelling ever. Clam water, soft corals and fish. Unfortunately we didn’t get the time to do the cookimg class, hike and no sunset/night snorkelling due to the low pressure just passed, will definitely come back. – via google

We had a wonderful weeks’ vacation here with extended family. The swimming and snorkeling were excellent. The staff were lovely and very friendly. However the overall appearance of the resort was rather tired looking and we all found the food (apart from the breakfast (who can go wrong with eggs and bacon) was very disappointing. All of us (we ranged in age from 14 to 76) found it to be pretty much inedible much of the time. Having said this, I would probably return for the location – our room was smack bang on the most beautiful beach and the lovely hard working and caring staff. – via google

We had a wonderful time at Octopus Resort! The atmosphere was very relaxed. The staff and service was fantastic and so friendly. The variety and quality of food was great – make sure you try the kokoda! We stayed in a garden bure and it was extremely comfortable – bed was great and the outdoor bathroom was lovely. There is a great choice of activities if you want to do something other than lie on a gorgeous beach or snorkel on the reef just off the beach :-). Highly recommend the boat snorkeling trip. We would happily stay there again.
Transfers were so easy from the airport to the resort and back. Worth the additional cost. – via google

We spent 7 nights at Octopus Resort. I thoroughly enjoyed it though in all honesty, fours nights would have been sufficient. I did really appreciate the free morning and evening yoga class. The ladies in the spa provided excellent massages at a highly affordable price. I would highly recommend them and any of their professional services. The food at Octopus was superb. There were choices given for every meal and they were all delicious. We stayed in a garden bungalow which was very hot to sleep in even with the ceiling fan. The ocean view bungalows had air conditioning which would have made evenings much more tolerable. Also the shared bathrooms in the Garden bungalow’s needed some renovations.

The staff were excellent – friendly, helpful, and so tolerant. I think the world could learn some lessons on getting along and respect from the Fijians. Such a lovely culture.

The coral reef was not the best at Octopus Resort. There were some fish but the reefs only had ~ 40 % coverage for coral. Also there was only one safe channel to get from the beach to snorkel. Getting out to snorkel was easy but there was a significant current to deal with when returning to the beach. If you are not a strong confident swimmer, the return trip to the beach would be very intimidating.

Overall I did enjoy my stay at Octopus Resort and would recommend it for a three or four day stay.

The staff, location and food were all excellent. The resort is well set out with your restaurant looking out to the ocean. There are plenty of sun loungers at the beach and by the pool. The staff were friendly and keen to meet your needs. The rooms were clean and the end was comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here. I also went to the local village for their sunday service which was a lovely experience. – via google

this is a dishonest hotel. they canceled the prepaid entertainment. the office manager told me that I can return the money on the ship from my agency. when I got on the ship, the agency said it was not possible. started calling octopus. The office manager denied everything. she lied that she offered me alternatives and I simply refused. do not recommend this hotel, they stole money for entertainment. – via google

just paid the bill, and tomorrow we leave, a fantastic 2 weeks of diving with Leo and Lea….great fun had by the “English nutters” the boat is well equipped to cover our needs and speedy too, the crew proficient , and joined in with the jovialities. we did not expect to see the big paelegics at this time of year, however still a few to keep us enthralled, Leo and Lea are excellent dive instructors and leaders , but Lea is by far the best at artistic skills…..XXXX from the Schrecks – via google
