My husband went in today, to rent equipment(x 2, one for our son) to check on our water & buoy lines at the lake, and to look for some sunglasses and a necklace that were dropped by our dock,. He also was planning on diving nearby spots with our son, to keep brushed up on their diving skills. He was immediately told this was ‘commercial’ use (to check on the lines) and was taking away from the staff(or owner, not sure?) members job….. We have rented years ago from the previous owner, Dale, to check on the same thing, and he was fabulous. Had no issue at all then. As far as I’m concerned, if you are certified as a diver, you should have the option to rent the equipment, never ever have I heard this response before. This place will never get our business again, and we will never, ever recommend them to anyone. I would suggest to anyone considering going here, either lie….or preferably go somewhere else, maybe another town. Another ‘X’ for Kamloops….
* I am not able to reply to the owners response, so will write here instead. I would like to clarify here, he was planning on LOOKING at his water line, not planning on working on it. Seems to be a bit far fetched to call this ‘commercial’……just my opinion. – via

The owner of this shop is terrible, terrible, terrible. The attitude and the equipment is garbage. The guy running the place is really weird and probably lives in his moms basement. This guy thinks he’s the authority in diving and makes people feel uncomfortable. The owner does not really understand diving from the perpestive of the recreational diver. Dude, you’re not important so stop acting like it! – via
