I WOULD NOT recommended this dive center at all!! I had amazing experiences with other centers in Maldives, but this one was the least professional I have seen in my life. First, following their confirmation of my dive and after changing my plans and booking accommodation and the boat to Male, they canceled on me so they could meet the needs of some other people. As I had no other dive alternative, I agreed to do the dive at another time even though it was very inconvenience for me due to my less than 24 hours flight the day after. Second, there was no one at the diving center at the meeting time, no one called to inform me and finally once they arrived, it was another hour waiting before the dive. – via

Tried to pop up 3 times but the dive center was always closed even it was during the supposed opening times. Don’t seem serious at all.
Just for responding to your answer: how many days off you take in a row? Because if everything happened the same day ok but the visits were on different days… – via

I felt bit scammed. We wanted to dive near harbor in the divesite which was famous for its high presence of big sharks. So they knew what we want and they booked us two dives. We even changed our plans to get there.
But on the spot we have learned, that this dive site is not what it used to be, because few months ago the coast guard ordered fishing boats to dumb their organic waste further from the coast. Therefore now it is rather dive with school of stingray than about sharks. Still nice dive, but I felt, they lure us on big sharks and then start saying things like “you know, there is nothing guarantee; we did not see anything last day; etc.” so we should felt like we have just a bad luck, but in fact the lack of sharks is explainable by the change of coast guard policy.
Same goes for all the liveaboard boats which are around, they are just selling this place like it is a year back even they must know, the chances of spotting something big is now very slim. – via

Best dive we ever did (100+ dives maldives, raja ampat, komodo) to see the big stuff!! Many thanks for the way this diveshop managed his way to make us comfortable and took us to this wonderfull place called ‘shark stingray spot’ or something like that :p
My regulator was not the best (water inlet and heavy breathing) as I think this is bad luck? The rest of the equipment was great and the Diveguide(s) was perfectly clear, very friendly and paid attention when needed!!
Keep up the good job ocean junkies!! – via

I don’t know how these guys call themselves a Padi certified trainer! These guys expect that you watch the YouTube video and hear the briefing these guys give and they’ll directly take you’ll below the water and ask you to perform the 5 skills.. if you can’t they’ll not take you scuba and charge the complete cost of scuba!
How can any trainer expect someone to watch a video hear the briefing and directly take the test 20 ft below the ocean.. The problem is these guys manage 3-4 people for 30 minutes and within this 30 minutes they’ll take each one of us below for 10 minutes each and test the 5 skills as well! Where is the training? Atleast let the guys do it few times before they can go down and give a test!
Shubo was the trainer who was briefing us and that guy literally had zero energy! He seemed as though he had just woken up and is asked to do a job! Incase you’ll still plan to experience scuba with these guys do notice the trainer or rather speak to the trainer and understand the entire process else these guys will only thug you!
Very unprofessional and mismanaged! – via

We had an amazing time with Ocean Junkies. A professional certified PADI dive center.
We had a clear goal which is to dive at “Hulhumale Corner” and for me this is one of the best shark points in the Maldives if not in Asia at least. The best thing is it’s literally 3 minutes boat ride from Hulhumale! Tiger sharks, Spinners, Hammerhead, Guitarfishes and literally hundreds of stingray. If you like sharks you will love it! We did 4 dives here and would do more if possible!
Special thanks to Ranya and the team at Ocean Junkies!
We will definitely be back! – via

Experienced guides, equipment in good condition, professional & efficient conduct. We went diving to Magiri Rock. Saw numerous fish species, sea cucumber, Murray eel, a school of fries and just before we ended our dive, a young manta ray made an appearance, did a back dive and vanished! Great experience. – via Google

(Translated by Google) Communication and organization could be better and more structured. In addition, we unfortunately had a somewhat unmotivated guide.
It’s a pity that dives always end after 30-45 minutes with tanks still half full….

– via Google

They were great … took me from an incredibly fearful reluctant diver to swimming into a cave to look at a nurse shark being cleaned by thousands of little fish. Very nice people, great service and I always felt safe and looked after. – via Google
