The guy who I dealt with was nice enough to talk to but he broke my skis and refused to own up to it. I cracked a binding on my old crosscountry skis, my foot would slip off but they were still functional and I had been using them regularly. A friend wanted to try them so I brought them in to fix the binding. There wasn’t a word about the possibility of losing my skis completely. He removed the bindings, decided that the skis “weren’t safe enough” to rebind and claimed to have saved me from grievous injury, though even if my junky woods skis break in half, it just means I’m walking home through the snow. If I had known there was the possibility he might break my skis and refuse to fix them, I would just have just superglued them. THEN, when I expressed my displeasure at having my 80% skis reduced to 0%, he wouldn’t give me any credit toward new skis nor new bindings that I could affix myself. – via
