It was a pleasure learning to kite with Jose, Jorge and the whole Nomad team. It was my first time in La Ventana, and Jose the owner made sure every part of my trip was amazing. Anything that I needed he found a way to help me with. He and his wife picked me up and dropped me off at the airport, he got me a room to rent for a discounted rate, he picked me up each day for lessons since I didn’t have a car, he put me in touch with a local fisherman for whale watching, recommended a place to bike and even invited me for dinner by him one night. Jose made sure everything I needed would be taken care of.
And last but not least, in only a few days I learned all the safety protocols, great kite control, got up on the board and started enjoying kite surfing – a sport I’d been wanting to do for years. My instructor Jorge was awesome, he’s great at the sport, he’s a good teacher – very positive and encouraging, and a great guy to spend time with chatting during classes on the beach and joking with on the radio helmets while I practiced or he demoed. Jorge’s goal was for me to enjoy and feel satisfied – and he and the whole team succeeded with flying colors.
I highly recommend La Ventana and Nomad. I left wishing I could stay longer, hooked on kiting and on La Ventana. – via

Absolutely love the kite school! Jose is professional and kind, knew exactly how to support me as I was starting as a semi-beginner with kiting. The school is located in Paradise. My teacher Marc was patient, technical and helped me progress to be able to ride left and right. I feel more confident with kitesurfing. I highly recommend Jose and his team! – via

My whole family loves NOMAD. My wife and two girls have had lessons over the past 4 years with Jose and the team at Nomad. My 12 yo is up and riding and transitioning and my wife and I took some foil lessons this season. Nomad is situated on the best beach in LV and we have had nothing but amazing experiences. Nomad was great for my first week learning kite surfing, would recommend to anyone.
We were a group of 10, in town for 10 days from US, over the holidays, at different skill levels – I.e. we were a lot to manage.
José, the owner, was very clear and easy to communicate and schedule with. My instructor, Mark, was very experienced and a great teacher, for how I was able to learn and work some physical limits I had re: injuries.
Kitesurfing is dependent on the wind; even the best shops and instructors can only do what’s possible in the conditions; and especially with Christmas holidays thrown in in the busiest season.
José and the Nomad team really went 110% over and above with me and with our group — on learning, instructing, payment, scheduling and rescheduling, etc.
And it was so much fun!

Had such a great time learning to kite here. My instructor Stephano was one of the best. I previously tried to learn in LA and Dominican but this was by far the best lessons I got, and within 4 hours I was able to water start due to the great instructions. Can’t wait to come back! – via

Best kite school in town, I checked all the other places, Nomad has the best prices as well.
Jose (the owner) is super nice guy he will help you with everything you need and he’s super kind and chill.
The instructions are super professional, nice and just awesome people. Mark, my personal instructor was amazing, I have no words to describe how good he was in teaching and made me advance in my kiteboarding(and he’s a super cool dude as well).

I scheduled a trip to La Ventana and found Jose to be super super helpful with both gear and lodging support. He was incredibly prompt in his responses and fully transparent about every part of the transaction. I went ahead and made a deposit for the lodging and gear, but a little over a month before my trip I had some unexpected issues come up that meant I would need to cancel. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get the deposit back, but Jose was so prompt and understanding. He returned my deposit within an hour of getting my message. I was blown away by his hospitality and professionalism. I’m really bummed that I won’t be able to do this trip, but given this experience I’m definitely going to use Nomad in the future. – via

Two thumbs way up! A great school to help you develop your kiting skills.
I was able to do 3 lessons with Nomad in January, 2023. While I am new to the sport, the instruction
from Mina was excellent, extremely patient, encouraging and relevant to my (lack of)skill level. Many helpful tips were provided that aren’t mentioned in the videos. I wish I had found this school a day earlier as each day I was able to make incremental progress.
Jose runs the place and is very upbeat. He provides a nice vibe for the whole school and is a great resource for tips on restaurants and other activities in the area. Even if you don’t take kiting lessons, you can probably come by to pet the dog.
Also, their beach setup greatly surpasses anything else I saw on any of the beaches in La Ventana. They have a very large and accommodating shade area providing a nice break from the sun.
In addition, the location is great with tons of sandy beach devoid of rocks found in other launch area.
I would recommend their lessons without hesitation. – via

Perfect school for any level
