(Translated by Google) I spent a month at Nimbu and had a very nice time! My room was nicely furnished and there was always a pleasant breeze.
The in-house restaurant serves very tasty regional food, and there are also many vegan options for vegans.
The food is freshly prepared daily by the “house mom”, she and the rest of the team create a pleasant family atmosphere in which I have always felt very comfortable.

As a surfer I was very happy about the good conditions in El Tránsito, during my entire stay I found surfable, mostly very good conditions every day.
On request, Nimbu organizes boat trips to nearby waves if you are looking for a change or if the swell is too big for the beach breaks.

My little highlight was the release of newly hatched baby turtles. (Nimbu buys eggs from nest thieves, which are supposed to be brought to Managua and sold for consumption in order to hatch them)

Nimbu was my little feel-good paradise, I’d love to come back!

Ich habe einen Monat im Nimbu verbracht und hatte eine sehr schöne Zeit! Mein Zimmer war schön eingerichtet und es ging immer ein angenehmer Luftzug.
Im hauseigenem Restaurant gibt es sehr leckeres regionales Essen, auch für Veganer gibt es viele vegane Optionen.
Das Essen wird täglich frisch von der “Hausmama” zubereitet, sie und das gesamte restliche Team schaffen eine angenehm familiäre Atmosphäre in der ich mich immer sehr wohlgefühlt habe.

Als Surfer habe ich mich sehr über die guten Bedingungen in El Tránsito gefreut, während meines gesamten Aufenthalts fand ich täglich surfbare, meistens sogar sehr gute Bedingungen vor.
Nimbu organisiert auf Wunsch boattrips zu umliegenden Wellen falls man etwas Abwechslung sucht oder der swell zu groß für die Beachbreaks wird.

Mein kleines Highlight war die Freilassung von frisch geschlüpften Baby-Schildkröten. (Nimbu kauft Eier von Nestdieben, welche eigentlich nach Managua gebracht und zum Verzehr verkauft werden sollen, um diese dann auszubrüten)

Nimbu war mein kleines wohlfühl Paradies, ich komme gerne wieder!

Perfect place to surf in Nicaragua! After several month in Central America, this has been our favourite spot for surfing. The rooms, garden and common spaces are very beautiful, the staff super friendly and there is a nice, relaxed atmosphere in Nimbu Surfhouse. For everyone that comes for surfing there is a good selection of surfboards in great conditions and an option for surf classes available. The two surf breaks are just in front of the hostel and the waves are great almost everyday and for every level, while still being uncrowded (often we had one of the spots to ourselves). The yoga was also really good! There is no common kitchen available, but the food in the restaurant is delicious with reasonable prices for the big portions. Thank you Nimbu 🙂 – via

We loved the place, the vibe, the food, the staff and the surfing!

We have been here 2 years ago and came back because we loved it so much. You live directly at the beach and the beach feels almost like private 🙂 El transito is a small fisher village and you are right here if you like relaxing beach days and nice surfing!

Nimbu is a small accommodation with space for 13 people. We really enjoyed the vibe there – open-minded and really friendly people!

There are 3 surf spots:
– pistols – right in front of the surfhouse for intermediate surfers
– main beach break – many peaks, lots of space and uncrowded 🙂 10 mins walking on the beach
– 1 left hander point break in 12 mins walking on the beach

Surfing was really nice – you get good waves in Jan / Feb for both beginners and intermediates. They also offer surf lessons for beginners and surfboard rentals. We were surfing by our own though.

I loved the Yoga Shala right at the beach where you can hear the sound of the ocean while doing yoga! On the 1 min way to the Shala and to the beach you can find many beautiful flowers – looks soo nice 🙂 Maria was a really nice Yoga teacher, I enjoyed her lessons a lot!

The food is amazing and Grethel and her kitchen crew really gives so much love into their meals. I absolutely love the fish we had directly out of the ocean because her family is a fisher family 🙂

Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We are coming back for sure 🙂 – via
