Hello, I had very unfortunate business dealings with this company. I have multiple emails from this company requesting that I choose an alternative trip, because the original cage diving trip that I paid $3200 for is no longer available. Full credit towards a different trip is offered in each email. I finally chose a different trip on February 28th, and I was immediately sent an email that told me I would receive $469.75 off and 25% off another trip. This is contrary to the multiple emails offering full credit towards another trip. I am speaking with a lawyer tomorrow to discuss how to proceed as they have chosen not to respond to my last email. I would like to add that I have heard that the actual crew on Nautilus Liveaboards is exceptional. Unfortunately, it appears that I will not be able to afford to meet them. – via google

I recently had the pleasure of venturing out to The Socorro Islands with Nautilus Liveaboards on the Nautilus Explorer. This was my 4th trip with Nautilus Liveaboards and 3rd on the Nautilus Explorer.

This is a fantastic boat and well equipped for the adventure. There is good space on the dive deck for the 25 divers getting ready for a dive.

The food was plentiful and delicious. Every meal was good the entire trip.

The Crew…. You will be hard pressed to find a better trained, harder working, and always making sure you aren’t needing anything. They also can boast having two of the most competent female dive masters in the liveaboard circuit. All the dive masters are exceptional

Diving operations; runs like a well tuned clock. From rolling launches off the dive deck, water exits in rolling seas and returns.

The best of the best. That’s what you can expect from Nautilus Liveaboards

As other recent reviewers have noted, Nautilus is refusing to offer refunds for trips booked that they are unable to complete. It is noteworthy that they continued to accept reservations (and money) well into this season even after knowing the park reopening was not a certainty. I asked for an explanation of why refunds are not being offered for trips that are not being taken but wasn’t given a response. The option they did offer was credit towards a future trip (a year minimum) away, even though they have no guarantees the park will be open next year either. If you google this company you will see they’ve had several incidents and I believe it’s likely they will eventually lose their licensure to operate anyway, and it remains in doubt what will become of the thousands of dollars people are paying to book trips they aren’t fulfilling. Some speculate the park closure is due to bad operations on the part of this company to begin with. I tried to be understanding of the situation but it feels very dishonest and not in good faith for this company to refuse to offer their clients even the option of a refund for trips booked that they are unable to fulfill. Even prior to this, communications were spotty and it can sometimes take several emails to get a response, which doesn’t bode well for the management of this company either. Please consider booking with another company or be very aware of their nebulous and shifting “refund policies”. – via Google

February 2022 – Glamping & Whale Watching.
Absolutely speechless – my first time glamping and whale watching. It was just a dream to be next to those huge animals, to see how gentle and curious they can be, it’s beautiful!

The staff and the local fishermen were very nice and kind. They respected the environment and made sure everyone were safe. Food was delicious, every meal was different and well thought!

The entire package was very well thought, we had enough opportunities to watch the whales. There’s also some extra activities we could do on the glamping spot like paddle boarding or birdwatching.

Hopefully next time, we would go for humpback or blue whales! – via Google

I am very disappointed with Nautilus and their shady business practices, specifically with the Great White trip to Guadalupe Island. I purchased this trip as part of a group trip in July 2022, the trip was scheduled for October 2022 and Nautilus did sell us this trip knowing full well the park was closed for the full 2022 season and did not disclose this crucial piece of information before taking our money. Now our group has been pushed off to October 2024. Why is Nautilus selling trips they cannot deliver???
All the affected customers should be given a choice of rescheduling or a FULL REFUND for this trip, other discounted trips does not make up for deceptive business practices. Had I known the Mexican Government had closed the Guadalupe park, I would not have bought this trip, shame on you Nautilus for withholding the closure information!

If you really value your reputation then give the affected customers the option of a full refund. I don’t want a whale watching trip and lots can and will happen in two years, what if I can’t go then, you get to keep my money you refuse to refund, that is just wrong… Do the right thing and your reputation will benefit from it. – via Google

I wish there were an option to give 6 stars; this trip was truly an amazing experience and we are Nautilus customers for life. The scuba diving was spectacular and included beautiful reefs, giant manta rays, white tip reef sharks, plenty of sea turtles, a shipwreck, and getting up close and personal with sea lions.

I had high expectations of the crew based on previous reviews, but my expectations were surpassed; the crew caters to your every whim to the point where you feel like you have your own personal assistant onboard. The crew also does this based on pure professionalism and care for their craft and you never once feel like a burden. As a side note, I was initially a little appalled to see the recommended gratuity in the FAQs, but at the end of the trip, I felt compelled to give more based on how impeccable the crew was and how much they maximized our enjoyment of the trip.

The Explorer is a beautiful ship. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, the deck area for preparing your scuba equipment (which the crew does for you) was spacious and organized, the dining area provided for a cozy area to gather with the rest of the guests, the hot tub was amazing, and the top deck provided an opportunity to take in the sun or get a perfect view of fin whales during sunset!

Just like everything else with this trip, the food was tremendous. From taco night on the top deck, to thick steaks and fresh fish, the chef’s selection was delicious and wide-ranging.

If you don’t feel like scuba diving or aren’t scuba certified, there are still plenty of things to do onboard to keep you as busy as you’d like. We constantly felt torn between going out on any of the four scuba dives each day or staying onboard to enjoy other things such as kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, sitting in the hot tub, taking a dip in the water from the boat, going to the beach, or just relaxing onboard and taking in the views.

Overall, I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the trip was. Everything from the scuba diving, to the crew, to the food was perfect. I don’t even like to travel often, but we are already planning when we will be doing other Nautilus trips such as Guadelupe and Soccoro in the future. – via Google

Simply put, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I never thought it would be that impactful, but the Captain’s and entire Crew’s passion and respect for these magnificent creatures made the experience even that much more special. It really was like seeing real life dinosaurs! If you’ve ever thought about it, do it! You won’t regret it, and your fear or fascination will turn into respect and admiration for life and the things we rarely get to see or think about! – via google

Diving with the great whites EXCEEDED my expectations! It was an adrenaline filled vacation seeing these mighty sharks in action.

The crew aboard was fantastic – knew all of our names by the first day as well as our preferences for hot drinks, meal orders, etc. And they were helpful getting us into and out of the cages safely and quickly. The Great Whites put on a dramatic show and having a marine biologist and a shark conservationist aboard deepened our understanding and experience.
