We had scheduled parasailing with My Own Water Sports a few days ago. Upon arriving to the location, the man told us that parasailing was cancelled due to high winds. He offered us 30 minutes of jet skis instead, but since we have already gone jet skiing and wanted to experience parasailing we declined. He told us that we could reschedule our parasailing for a few days later, so we agreed. Along with the purchase of the parasailing came round trip driver service from our hotel and back. The people who “worked” for My Own Water Sports didn’t even know what kind of car to look out for to take us back to our hotel. After about 30 minutes of waiting for their driver they told us to walk back to the beach where the man was. When we did, the man told us that the parasailing was safe to do now as he flagged down what seemed to be a random boat with a parasail passing by. The winds had actually already picked up by this time which made us more hesitant to parasail since his original statement was that it wasn’t safe. We told the man that we weren’t comfortable with parasailing since he said it wasn’t safe, he apologized and said that we could still keep the date we rescheduled to. We then waited an hour for our ride which the man told us multiple times would be there in 10 minutes, and eventually had to pay for our own taxi back to our hotel. This cost us almost $35. Unfortunately, I got COVID and we had to cancel our trip all together. We sent them an email to cancel 48 hours in advance (their policy was to cancel only 24 hours in advance). They did not email us back. We emailed them again, and they did not email us back again. We are out now $230+ and it was a waste of our time. Please be aware that if you book with this company you may be stranded at their location. They know ways to trick you into taking your money. The only good thing I have to say is that our driver, Shane, was very nice dropping us off at the location to begin. – via

A+ awesome!!! The guys were all so friendly, patient and kind. I was a little nervous to parasail but they helped me feel comfortable and have an enjoyable experience. This is a great company to use if you want to experience the amazing views of beautiful sky and crystal clear waters. Thank you so much guys! – via

Overall, good place to do jet skiing and parasailing. 4 stars because the sales tactic I encountered was not pleasing – they quoted the price for the package – jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boat, took the money from me, and then told me the banana boat is not available. They said they will trade that to give me a bit more time on the jet ski. They totally could have told that up front before I handed over the money so I could evaluate my options. And at the end, they didn’t really give us extra time on the jet ski either – they just sent us on the ride back after 30 mins of doing a two seater jet ski and said they would give more time next time when we come back. That part was not very pleasing, but I didn’t enjoy jet skiing that much that day due to the wave.
We went back for parasailing the next day, and totally enjoyed that experience. We did parasailing before, and enjoyed this experience a lot more bc it’s just me and my wife instead of a whole group that you typically encounter in excursions. It almost seemed like a private parasailing tour and we had so much fun. The guides were awesome.
The company also provide transportation to and from the hotel, and the gentleman doing the driving was great. Five rides segments with him both days and he was very helpful.
Overall, positive experience and would choose them again for water sports. Their crews rotate day to day and your experience kind of depends on who you deal with. – via

This place is the best. The hospitality is 100/10. They are great. Service is great. They tell you so much about the island and offer so many excursions. Definitely recommend if traveling to the bahamas! – via
