Hikers will take pleasure in climbing this volcano, and the rewards of the views into the crater and of the crystal clear waters of Lake Batur. (Note: visibility could also be restricted through the wet season, Dec.-March.)

The views from the top are seriously otherworldly and well worth the hike. We were lucky to summit on a relatively clear day – there was a collective gasp when the sun broke the horizon.
The hike up took about 90 minutes. There are some steeper sections with loose sand and rock, which were a bit challenging. I mostly didn’t need to use my hands, but I had a hiking stick and good shoes that helped a lot with stability. – via

– via

I had a great experience when I was visiting to Mt. Batur Bali with my friend. The view from the top was Amazing though I wasn’t expected that it was very touristic started from the hiking point until the top or it takes 1.5-2 hours hiking OMG??thousnds of tourits went for hiking but somehow we are still able to enjoy and see the view of sunrise from the pick of Mt. Batur overall it was very stunning for me on this mount you are able to see the some other mountains from a far such as Trunyan,mt.Abang,mt. Agung, and most surprizingly the Mt. Rinjani which is almost impossible to see it cause it’s located in different island called Lombok??we met some of balinesse people who were very nice and friendly sometimes I asked for a favor for taking pictures of me?????????? – via

(Translated by Google) Fairly difficult hiking for beginners! However, I was unlucky that there were clouds and haze when I got up, so I didn’t see much of the view.

– via

(Translated by Google) We went up during the day without a guide.
At the entrance they slowed down, they began to tell that a guide was needed, but we refused and just bought an exit ticket (100,000 rupees).
Then we drove to the foot of the temple and from there we began the ascent. The trail was found using Google Maps. Starts behind the temple.
We climbed in 30 minutes with 3 small stops to breathe. There is nothing complicated. All you need are comfortable shoes, a bottle of water and an extra T-shirt to take beautiful photos))
It was warm on the mountain.
The views are amazing, there’s a lot to see.

– via
