Went 5 times for a school club and the fifth time, the day I’m writing this, the wind was really bad and a tree fell on the power line to the lift and it exploded then the lift stoped and the power line was on the ground and setting the ground on fire. We were stuck, me and 7 friends, for around 30 minutes in a temp feel of -20 until they got the lift going. The fire was small in the photo but it grew. – via

Visited Montage for the first time last week with my nephews school ski club. It was just under a 2 hour drive from the Harrisburg area, but well worth the trip for a great mountain at unbeatable prices. The ski club, group discount (without rentals) was $30.

Unfortunately, we’ve had a lackluster winter so far, but the staff did everything possible to make sure snow was down in as many places as there could be. 5 trails total were open, with 2 lifts running, and it made the day enjoyable… obviously more trails and more lifts would’ve been better, but for the price it was still well worthwhile.

Food and drinks in the on-site restaurant were excellent and well priced as well. Will be back, with hopes of colder weather! – via
