Been coming here, since 2013, when working in the area, and it’s been all good experiences.
The place is small but they have very good selection of scuba and snorkeling equipment and gears. The staff is very helpful and accommodating to what we need, even let us return air tanks after hours. They also offer scuba diving lessons at this location, Dive pool is in the back building. – via

I’ve been going to Middletown Scuba since I was a kid with my father. I’m currently enrolled in there diving school to advance my knowledge and skills as a scuba diver, the owners, workers and instructor’s are great. They are extremely knowledgeable and enjoy teaching us how to dive the right way. There prices for classes and gear are very reasonable and they have gone over and beyond to help make things affordable to fit into my budget. I do a good amount of emergency salvage diving in my local lake for sunk boats and what not ,I could have got all my gear off the internet and saved a few dollars , I’ve price matched everything I’ve bought from them and the knowledge , help and personal experience far out ways the few dollars I would have saved. When the phone rings at 8pm for an emergency dive and I need something gear related there are few shops out there that will open there doors after they have closed to help you out, and your computer mail order is useless at that point. That just goes to show what type of ppl you are dealing with. I can’t speak to some of the problems of the other reviews but I can say in the countless times I have been here I’ve never seen anyone from this store be rude or unhelpful. – via

I went there to rent tanks and asked their prices. The teenager that attended me was friendly and informed me that they have rentals for $15/day. I live 45 min away and didn’t need the tanks for another day so I was looking for a multi day rental. I called up the other scuba shop in town (Prime Scuba) and asked their prices. They mentioned they will do 3 days for $25. Instead of driving over there I thought I’d see if this place would price match. So I asked the young man if they’d price match the $25 for 3 days and he thought about it and said “sure” . The woman (I assume his mother) brought out the two tanks as the boy registered my info on his computer. She then quoted me the full price for two days and then the boy told her he price matched for 3 days for $25. She was very rude and short with me after that treating me as though I somehow took advantage of her or the teenager and showing outward hostility toward both of us for having made the deal. Very uncomfortable transaction and terrible customer service, especially from a small “mom/pop” shop. I will not be returning. – via
