This review is purely about the spa here: stay away. Dozens of massages in my life and this was by far the worst I’ve ever received. It was supposed to be a relaxing couples massage at the end of our trip but instead it really soured the entire trip.
The two therapists were literally laughing to each other the entire time – do you know how uncomfortable that is? You can’t relax when they’re laughing. Horrible technique throughout, extremely exposing and not at all relaxing. Also, we booked a Swedish massage, and after 10 minutes she asked me how the pressure is – I said you could go a bit harder, and she replied “okay because that was really light for me”. At the end she charged me for a deep tissue massage!! I never wanted, or asked for, or even got a deep tissue. I was so annoyed I didn’t even bother to fight, I just wanted out of there.
Also, slow down on the freakin oil, wow.
Absolutely the worst spa experience I’ve ever had, which sucks because the rest of the resort is pretty amazing. – via

Nice accommodations, nice staff, great food.
I’ve been here about 15 times in the last 7 years. This is one of my all time favorites.
I love that it’s all inclusive. The food is good, although not what it was prior to COVID. There is a buffet and two restaurants.
I particularly like that the rooms are like little villas, with living rooms, kitchens and small dining areas. – via

Just got back from a week at Mayan Princess, diving with Mayan Divers. Great dive shop with awesome staff. Once you check in your gear is well cared for and the staff deliver everything to the boat each morning, then rinse and store it for you at the end of the day. If you need help with anything or have gear issues the boat crew and guides are quick to get you sorted out and in the water safely. Our guide Mark was fantastic and is amazing at spotting wildlife, from nudibranchs to rays and sea turtles! He made sure we had a good mix of dive locations, a few deep sites, drift dives and wreck. We had a great time and I can’t wait to come back! – via

Just returned from a week at Mayan Princess and Mayan Divers, we were there as a group of 13 divers and had a Great time! Mark lead all our dives and made sure the whole group was safe and had an enjoyable time. He was able to find turtles every day and some days on every dive. I love the three dives a day and that we do our surface interval at the resort. Andy our boat captain (also all week) was great always lending a hand, happy and smiling. The boats are designed for diving and are a pleasure. Side and rear entries and large stable ladders for exit. I would go back in a second! – via
