We dived with MLSA for 20 years. Always fabulous. We are broken hearted that the dive operation was unable to negotiate a new lease with the hotel and had to close shop. Just one more (giant) disappointment from the new ownership of the Mauni Lani hotel. – via

We did a snorkel and whale watch and despite less than ideal weather the crew knocked it out of the park! Turtles, a small manta ray, fish, whales breaching and whales that came right up to the boat to say hi! It’s a bummer they might be moving port locations (because of a grumpy landlord). They are a gem of a company with great guides, super convenient, reasonably priced too. – via

I recently visit the Kona area and was invited by a friend to join in a few days’ dives with Mauna Lani Sea Adventures. I am a novice diver, having been certified many years ago, but only able to dive during a number of vacations.
So, I needed a refresher and some observation and supervision. Everyone at MLSA was a pleasure to work with. Their good humor, extreme professionalism and close attention to everyone’s safety and enjoyment of the dive were at the highest level I have experienced. The small boat dives with only 6 divers + dive master, were well accomplished and a great experience from beginning to end.
I hope that my future dives will be as good as these. Visit MLSA with confidence in a good, safe, enjoyable dive experience.

We loved our adventure on the sunset whale watching tour. The staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable. We were able to see lots of whales as the boat just idled, they actually came close. Would recommend and would do it again. – via

If ever a group of guys deserved 5 stars, THIS is it! Top notch service, great sense of humor, they take the time to ensure everyone is comfortable before moving forward (and we had a big group), giving plenty of instructions to anyone wanting addition info, but letting experienced snorkels & divers enjoy themselves as well. The boat was fully stocked with drinks and snacks, which were great for the way out. These guys really seem to enjoy what they do, and it makes every part of the trip more fun. – via
