Since the Lahaina fire devastation it’s nice to see stores, businesses up & running. Went to Bank of Hawai’i to do some business the line was long due to only having 2 open tellers but when it was finally my turn the transaction was fast. – via

Another vacation in Maui, and we’re once again incredibly pleased with Maui Dive Shop and their dive charters. Wow! Customer service is top notch. My group has had a heck of a week here in Maui with one person breaking/dislocating her ankle in the ocean, 2 people getting sick (me being one of them) some troubles at home, and not the greatest weather here in Maui.
My husband, a friend, and I went out on the Maka Koa yesterday (Friday Feb 3, 2023) for a dive trip in the Molokini crater and a drift dive on the Molokini back wall. Well, being quite congested and no voice, the crew was incredibly accommodating and allowed me to snorkel a bit and simply enjoy some whale watching since I couldn’t dive. I didn’t cancel, because I knew most charter’s don’t provide a refund for a last minute cancel.
The captain and crew took it upon themselves to call the shop and ask that I only be charged as a rider, rather than a diver and I was refunded quite a bit of $$$. They did this out of simple, good customer service. I asked for nothing and just accepted my losses. This crew and this company just went above and beyond to make my situation as good as it could be.
We’ve gone on numerous dive charters with Maui Dive Shop in previous years and have always had phenomenal experiences. We will absolutely dive with them again in the future and they are at the top of our list for Maui recommendations. Thank you!!! – via

Wow! What a great experience. My wife and I are newly certified divers and just did 2 trips with these guys. I know believe we have been spoiled.
Captain Luke and the crew have a great thing going.
Our first trip with them was to Molokini and our dive master was Nick, we never felt rushed or pressured at all. Calm, cool and friendly with a couple of great dives…..awsome!
Next up was an evening single tank dive and whale watch. Josh was the divemaster for this one, and Audrey (who took our reservation was in this group also)Aquaman was just as great as Nick was, and,we had another great dive.
Luke greeted us back at the boat when done and then it was time for the whale watch. We had a great experience with that and got to see a mother and her newborn calf along with another male escorting them.
Both trips had great food and snacks (ribs on one trip where fantastic!)

Dove with this crew a few weeks ago and was an exceptional experience. I’ve dove all over the world, and would put this crew at the top. Luke was a perfect captain, John was a superb dive master (chill, yet careful and informative), and Nick was just a cool dude, as well as helpful. Enjoyed thoroughly, delicious breakfast tacos, and Molokini was incredible dive site. Thanks, ya’ll! – via
